Hi there thank for sharing. I am wondering what brand of oil you are using to distract their attention
@FerretTails4 жыл бұрын
Liu Jia I used Ferret Tone. I have tried to switch them to Salmon oil, but they wouldn’t eat it.

What did you use to distract him in the bowl that they were licking
@FerretTails3 жыл бұрын
Salmon oil 😂! They will let me do anything for salmon oil or pickled ferret juice!

Hi, I have two ferrets and I was wondering if I put this medicine on them (with vet approval of course) would they try to clean each other of the medicine and should i separate them or something?
@FerretTails4 жыл бұрын
Ferrets Like Jazz I was worried about that too, but luckily none of my four ferrets tried to clean it off any of the others. It also dries really fast compared to other topical flea medications. I do watch them normally until it’s dry just in case, but so far I have never seen them try to do that.

According to the packaging and from my experience it takes about two hours to dry and so far my ferrets have never tried to lick it off of each other!

My ferret keeps biting itself and scratching but I haven’t seen any fleas on him.. ahh
@FerretTails5 жыл бұрын
Pineapple my ferrets do that to even when they don’t have fleas. It’s normal for them to itch some but itching could also be a sign of other types of issues. All my ferrets itch themselves, as long as they are not doing it constantly and their skin is not red/irritated I don’t really worry about it.

Question. Do you put just a drop or the entire liquid in the little bottle ?
@FerretTails4 жыл бұрын
The amount depends on how many gallons of water. There is directions on the back of the bottles that tell you how much to use.

How long would it take for it to work cause I put mine on him for about 2 days and he still has fleas
@FerretTails4 жыл бұрын
It should work pretty quick. If it’s not working I would call the vet and asks them what they think you should do. If the fleas were bad it may take a day or two, but also make sure you change and wash all the bedding and vacuum the floors (if you have carpet) and clean anything that is fabric that your ferret has access to. If the fleas are still in the house, they will keep trying to get on your pet. Now that your ferret has been treated the fleas should die if they bite him/her, but they medication does not repel fles so if the fleas are around the house, they will be on your ferret.

Did you put the entire tube on one of your ferret or a single drop from the same tube to each ferret
@FerretTails4 жыл бұрын
It’s a whole tube per ferret. But the dose depends on weight and the medication I use I had to get from the vet because it’s not sold without a prescription. It’s called revolution, it’s the one for kittens.
@HunterW20214 жыл бұрын
Does it have to be in that area ? I did it a big higher up since I was worried she would lick it but I guess not lol
@FerretTails4 жыл бұрын
Hotel Whiskey I think it’s fine if it’s a bit higher. It just needs to be in between or near their should blades. Which is not always easy to find in a wiggly ferret 😂. I was worried about my ferret licking it off to, but luckily they don’t and it seams to dry pretty fast!!!

what if our ferrets aren’t 5 pounds? is this still safe??
@FerretTails3 жыл бұрын
My ferrets are not 5 pounds either, actually most ferrets, especially the ones from Marshall’s (Petco) are smaller than that, but the medication is for 5 pounds and under. Also, you can only get it from a Vet, it’s not sold over the counter. If the vet gave it to you it should be ok. So far, I have not had any problems with my ferrets taking it!

What about the Revolution plus
@amandablack42084 жыл бұрын
Just seen where u said no to Revolution plus and that's what my vet gave me
@FerretTails4 жыл бұрын
amanda black that’s just what my vet told me and she gave us the regular revolution for kittens based on their size/weight, but this video is a little over a year old, so I’m not sure if something has changed since then and you can now use the plus. I’m sorry if I’m not very helpful, I used the regular revolution again this year and I’m just not 💯 sure if there are new recommendations to use the plus or not.
