You know, there are times when you wanna kick the bucket and then you watch things like this and makes you feel happy you're still alive.. It makes you think life is short and beautiful. The movie's supposed to be a comedy but I end up crying how beautiful it is. 80's movies are masterpiece.

Ferris' younger sister appears at the 0:24 mark. Apparently he had a younger brother and sister in the movie whose scenes were cut before the final product along with several other scenes. I wish they would release a Director's Cut version with all of the deleted scenes.

Same here. Seems they deleted the clips permanently and can't recover them and that's why those deleted scenes haven't been made available for any DVD and/or Blu-ray or digital releases.

I read that some of the deleted scenes have been kept in a vault at Paramount Studios though along with a 3 hour Directors Cut of Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

Sadly we probably will never see those deleted scenes showed in the trailer, but, you can read them in the movie novelization book, they're all there, it even has the backstory of Charlie Sheen's character and explains his whole relationship with Ferris and the Bueller family, if you love the movie, I HIGHLY recommend you guys to read it.

0:21 "Why should he get to skip school when everybody else has to go?" In the final version, she says "ditch" in place of the words "skip school". 0:23 Kimberly Bueller, who in the trailer said "Syphilitic meningitis?" just like the original script. No wonder she and her younger brother Todd were removed from the final version. I mean, who played the role of Kimberly when the movie was still filming at the time? 0:52 Jeanie in the locker room. The only time Jeanie wears any other clothing than what she always wears in the final version. It seems she was probably going to some kind of hockey or whatever practice right after school or something before changing back and going home to confirm whether or not Ferris ditched school. The movie however was made to take place within 24 hours and that it ends at sunset.

The decision to go against the feel of the movie by using classical music and a polite old fart voice-over is bad. It's obviously meant to be comedicly in opposition to the film, but unless you know that it doesn't work. There's so many better ways you could have marketed this. That said, it is hard to nail the appeal of a film in a trailer, without just running whole scenes.

It's interesting that the trailer has the other Bueller children in it. Two kids from the family were completely cut from the film. I wonder if Paramount has the original cut of the film at 2 hrs and 45 min. long. They should release it on an anniversary edition.

That's the copyright. It was filmed in 85, and I'm guessing this trailer was released then.

@@erectilereptile7383 Probably not that early. The trailer was first supposed to release right before the Challenger disaster happened on January 28, 1996. Supposedly the first cut of the trailer had the deleted scene, or at least audio of Ferris saying he was joining NASA. They had to change the trailer at the last minute to remove that. And we're looking at what they released right after making that cut.

That is why it says this is the original trailer. They would have created it’s replacement once they knew they were going to cut some of the scenes that we see in it out of the movie. Plus they probably knew it was dull as well and wouldn’t resonate with audiences so they created a new trailer. You can easily find the newer trailer on KZbin.

At 0:57 that's the son of the "Vermont" couple that Ferris' mom is selling the house to. She is selling the house owned by Charlie Sheen's family. Ferris mentions being friends with Sheen in the original cut, but I'm not sure if they have any scenes together. Ferris is upset that Sheen's life has gone down the toilet and is trying to help Cameron so that the same thing doesn't happen to him. Ferris' mom is working on selling the Sheen family's house to the "Vermont" people. Sheen's family owns a gas station and a towing company and are the ones who tow away Rooney's car at the end. The son of the "Vermont" couple sits in the car while Ferris' mom shows the house to them. He hears Ferris give a radio interview where Ferris says he's been selected as the first teen-ager to go into space by NASA. He starts talking about the interview to Ferris' mom when she comes back to the car but his parents say he is just trying to mess with her.

@@nikolaipuc760 Just Google Ferris Bueller script. The first link that comes up is the script. CTRL-F for Volbeck. Sheen's name is Garth Volbeck. You'll find all the references to him and his family. Ferris has a long monologue saying everything he knows about Garth and his family. After hearing about Volbeck earlier in the movie, it's supposed to be a "reveal" when Sheen tells Jeanie his name is Garth Volbeck in the police station. They even cover the fact that Jeanie wouldn't have met him before by saying Ferris' parents wouldn't allow him over their house because his older brother was arrested.
