Great review and all of the point you spoke about were valid. However, in my 11B unit we all knew where everything was 99% of medical things were on each person. It was taught that way to us in case of those "what if" moments you explained. Im sure team guys of any sort/branch are even more aware as they are in smaller units.

....it was not the main issue that he talked about....any member of any "organized" unit will work on the ifak positioning and usage...he never said anything else, what was your point? that in the military guys are "forced" to follow a "modus operandi" ?

I found it can fit a GI cleaning kit (with rods) perfectly. When placed behind ur back, it is out of the way and accessible to address a malfunction. The lack of ability to mark it as a medical supplies IMO makes it a bad choice for strangers to help you. Alternatively it can fit in the space behind a dangler and can be used as supplementary support to a marked iFAK with extra gauze, boo-boo kit, or just bottle of water but I personally wouldn’t store life saving equipment in an unmarked pouch.

I too use it as a backup since we have to have the IFAK on us.

The only thing that I have to say is that most guys are running ifak in the small of their backs already

It looks like it would work well in a vehicle if you need to keep the back of your belt clear.

It fits c4 well. That's what I use it for. I tried it as a ifak but it's a bit of a pain. Tho if you throw a pull noodle it makes great back support if you are in a hummer all day. Or if your in the hurry up and wait parts. If you place it up front with the noodle you may find it helps in prone If you have your dobbel mags up front. Not so much if your in the bigger side. Also way to call me out ya I'm dirty it comes with being a 03 lol.

No I never picked one up. I've heard good things about it though, and it really is the only competitive option.
