Someone (thank you Sandra!) suggested doing a Sausage with Sage & Onion stuffing puff pastry pie and plait it. Oh boy what a great suggestion, not only was it HUGE! but it was also really delicious and next time will have it as a main diinner, with mash, peas and gravy. Thank you to the person who suggested it.
Thanks for watching

Using a serrated knife to slit the sausage casing; from top to tail, will make their removal much easier. Great vid, going to have a bash at this for tea. Thank you.

I’ve made this type of plait many times in the oven. I’ve used sausage meat, with cranberry. With mushrooms. With some left over chestnuts from Christmas stuffing. And some red onion chutney. Or you can go wild and add them all 🤣🤣 I’ve now got an air fryer so will give it a go in there but I thought bake setting rather than air fry. It looked delicious and sounded so crispy.

Hi Kerry I sometimes add a few apricots very finally chopped and a bit of Moroccan spices to a sausage Pie , which is delicious hot or cold and I always caramelize the onions first then let them go cold before adding to the sausage meat because like you said sometimes the onions can still be a little raw ❤

I made this with ingredients from Aldi and it was phenomenal. Then I got complacent and went to Morrisons, the rsult was inedible. Stick to Aldi.

That's really interesting thank you, we have this a lot with variations, I agree re aldi and lidl (poss use same suppliers just different packaging - I could be wrong mind, aldi irish sausages are not as good as the lidl ones) 😄👍

If you had used the bake setting on the dual blaze you may not of needed to turn as it would cook from underneath as well as from the top

Yes but if you use it on bake it heats more than the top one to bake from the bottom up that's what ai undertood and always use when making cakes and the like, though knowing me I could be wrong 😁
