Don't expect a product to do something it's not intended to do. If what you need is to vacuum wood dust like what is typically generated in a woodworking shop instead of trying to vacuum up huge chunks of subflooring, etc., it would likely work fine.

The ct is more of a DUST extractor that is best used for attaching to tools. Sounds like you need a shop vac instead to vacuum up nails and large chunks.
