I’ve had one since the first week of release. I’d agree this isn’t for everyone, but I feel like I ended up with pretty different reasons. I’d say this isn’t for you if you shoot a lot of low light indoor work, as the files are considerably less flexible (given their MP understandably so) than equivalent resolution sensors in full frame and equivalent size sensors in a more normal resolution in both usable DR high iso noise. The Fuji AF is fine, but I’d say this also not for folks who are used to the latest AF from Sony/Nikon/Canon and want to just C-AF auto track etc. I’ve had every generation of Fuji and this is miles better than most of their stuff, but it still works best with a more deliberate AF approach. The durability is definitely fine. It’s a metal camera. Contrary to what hypemakers on the internet want us to believe, metal cameras look old faster/have less visual durability than polymer skinned cameras. It’ll get banged up but it’ll still work fine. I’ve only ever broken one X100, and that was from dropping it six feet onto river rocks. Single card does limit some pro event work, but that’s one of those stat things that matters less than we hype ourselves up to think. It’s a great compact camera, but it’s still a compact camera! You’re not getting the new battery or two card slots in there without making it bigger, which we don’t necessarily want. Great vid!

Made in China, instead of Japan, is a huge negative for me.
