yeah you can hear it in Fanow and Slitherbough. It's the Aetheryte Camp theme of the region. Which is pretty cool.

I have a theory: Garlemald started building Baelsar's Wall. The spire now stands on the old Hawthorne Hut location. Gridania had confiscated their land for the spire to keep watch but in return rebuilt his home larger at Camp Nine Ivies and renamed it for them as compensation. The tent from Camp Nine ivies is literally right next to the hut. And with the increase in danger from the Sylphs they moved the honey yard to a safer area.

For whatever reason, I love it when you go through 1.0's Shroud. Maybe because I never had to suffer it.

SUFFER?! I loved 1.0 Shroud! Felt like a real forest it did... By the end of 1.0 I knew exactly where I was, no matter how much copy/paste. XD

@@Anton2004 lol, I still don't know what lies in North Shroud or South, I keep having to look at maps and assume the entire map is 'low-level zone'', many deaths have come from my ignorance to this day (in reality 2 weeks since joining the game) I am still at loss.

if you're running out of SoaR and RoaR how about starting a lore series of 2.0 and beyond, not comparing it to 1.0 but as a comprehensive guide to each dungeon or area. sounds like a massive chore i know, there's dozens of dungeons and hundreds of map areas but still, could be a way to gain more supporters maybe? the players interested in your videos will most likely keep watching and the people not interested in 1.0 may start watching to know more about the current lore of the game... idk, just a thought

Rewatching this series again! Coming back from SHB, Verdants Drop really reminds me of Rak'tika Greatwoods because of its design and how they both has giant trees coming out from the abyss.

Yeah My guess is actually that Fanow's location and the general Ronka region to its north corresponds to East Shroud, with Citia being Central/West/South Shroud and the Blind Forest corresponding to an inaccessible region of the Shroud.

Holy crap I had no idea that the music at 10:05 was from that far back! The first time I recall hearing this was in *Slitherbough.* It's so wild to me that 1.0 music has made so many appearances without my having even realized it.

CptZSLight Having experienced it, I can say it was the farthest thing from a forest. Really it was just an unnecessarily intricate maze. 2.0's shroud is way better in that regard.

God, even the non-VA'd cutscenes in 1.x were so well animated, it makes me so painfully jealous in such an awkward way. Because for every mechanical improvement we got in 2.0 and beyond, there's at least half a dozen stiffly animated cutscenes that just feel... game-y, for lack of a better word...

I love how the WoL has changed over the years. The WoL of now would simply step out and beat the crap out of Gaius and Nael without breaking a sweat. It’s also nice to see how East shroud has always held the distinction of most annoying zone lol.

I redid ARR today and to my shock never realized the elder sylph is a boi, and so is the main quest sylph knoxia or summit, and so are all sylphs when gendered........................
