Hashmal made me wish we could change the colors of enemy AoEs. Tan arena+orange AoEs=can't see shit lol

Generally the only mechanic of Hashmal's that still sometimes kills me are when he cuts the towers and makes them fall, insta-killing anyone they land on, but that usually only happens if I can't judge which direction the tower is going to fall in, but it's pretty rare for a falling tower to kill me (usually only happens if I'm a Healer and my team is in a bad way and badly needs revives/heals, so that I wind up more focused on trying to save my party to realize a tower is about to fall on my head).

The Ivalice raids are by far my favorite 24-mans in FF XIV thus far (haven't reached the Endwalker 24-man stuff yet, as I've only been through the Tower of Zot so far, so I can't say how they might compare, but I doubt they will supplant the Ivalice raids as my favorites both from how fun I find the Ivalice raids and the Tactics nostalgia). And an added plus for this 24-man is we get to kick Argath's teeth in again, which is always a good time. The guy deserves every ounce of pain we dish out to him (for those who haven't played Tactics, trust me on that, the guy is a *_massive_* scumbag, but I won't spoil why, you'll have to play Tactics yourself to find out [and trust me, Tactics is a great game and it still holds up well today despite originally being a PS1 game]). :)

I honestly don't think he can't see the AOE of the falling towers for hashmal. When he was surprised from dying from the one that second time after running around it and THEN BACK INFRONT OF IT'S FALL i was like.... 'dude, what are you BLIND!?'

the real pug killer is getting a full alliance filled and then 1 person leaves mid-dungeon.... and you cannot replace them, and then they don't have LB3 anymore, and it just snowballs until disband

Basically, the main problem with Hashmal is simply that pretty much everything is deadly when you don't seperate into groups properly. You get two stacking marks on top of each other, wiping everyone, and sand spheres blowing up because you can't cross over the blue aoe easily, so if too few people are on one sphere, it can easily mean a wipe. Not to mention groups who don't even have the dps to kill the sand spheres period. By setting A, B and C, you pretty much prevented any of the stuff from happening that would usually be considered pug destroying :)

I am still hoping and praying for a modern remake of Tactics in the same vein as the FF7 Remake, and I'm cautiously optimistic that one is coming since the same guy who leaked that the FF7 Remake was in the works has claimed there is a Tactics Remake in the works as well, and some time ago a lead SQE producer remarked that "The Tactics team is incredibly busy right now." which seems to imply that the claim that a Tactics Remake is coming holds some real weight. If any past FF title deserves the kind of treatment that FF7 got with it's own Remake, it's Tactics.

Damn this made me feel 40x better about my alliance wipes we died about 3 or 4 times but completed it the second boss killed the alliance about 3 times xD i was trying my best without knowing the mechanics.. If this was a tiny bit difficult for happy no one everyone was dying myself included.. still was fun finally a raid with people without knowing the mechanics jumping into it lol its interesting..

Pretty easy IMO. First two bosses are kind of clusterfucks and the hardest part is dealing with people who get tunnel vision and don't pay attention to the nasty AoEs. The final two bosses are super easy

Funnily enough I used to be able to hold my breath for about 5 minutes with little trouble (I loved to swim when I was younger, but now I don't really have an opportunity to go swimming anymore, so I no longer had a reason to practice holding my breath for extended periods, so now I can only hold my breath for about 2-3 minutes at a time). :P
