I like that Twitch campaigns are a thing; I do not like that you still have to spend money for it. I don't mind the idea of gifting subs to people - it's a small thing that really might make someone's day - but there's a ton of us who simply can't afford it. Living is expensive right now and our FFXIV subs might be one of our few luxuries. 🙃

It's the season of giving, so if you can afford it, don't waste your money on someone's stream who is well established and gets hundreds to thousands of viewers and streams fulltime. They already make several thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars per paycheck or payout. It will make you and the person you're giving to feel so much better if the streamer is a small streamer. Big streamers will barely pay attention to your subs or gift subs. Not worth it.

Even i would love to support Streamer but this Time the Mount is super boring. It would be the perfect Opportunity to Release Event Mounts that was never Released in some Regions like the Mountain Zu for Europe (even this is technically also just a Recolor) or the Quixy which i didnt got since we didnt had any of the Bubbletea Stores in my Country.

The idea of giving us a gift for being generous to streamers was really awesome. It's a shame as much thought was not put into the mount to encourage more people to partake. These complaints are all valid and just make me disappointed seeing all the people who won't donate to others because of it.

Subs should be at a discounted price for the buyer, but the streamer still gets the full amount. Twitch/Amazon and SE don't need the extra $2 or $3 it would cost them to give the discount. They're multi-million or billion dollar companies. Cutting 2 or 3 dollars ain't going to hurt them one bit.

While I understand, gifting subs is a way to support them, I'd much rather just watch people. That helps them more than gifting subs, especially if they have ads. I've just never been a fan of the idea of gifting subs.

If you got the mount at the time of the Christmas event for free or would not otherwise buy subs for whatever reason, it makes sense for people to skip this entirely - and I do agree that for that price, they could have proposed a new mount, not just a reskin, feels a little lazy to me. I just think SE was not very clever with that one because so many people will have good reasons to skip, even if they can afford it financially.... For my part though, I would have bought the mount for my newer character in the cash shop anyway, so might as well spend some of that money on a streamer, since I like that recolored version better too. I am just hoping smaller streamers are included in that promo since I would like to prioritize giving to someone with a smaller audience (no offense Meoni 😊)

It had to be a recolor. If it was cool and unique and awesome then ppl would be mad that it wasnt part of the christmas event and you had to pay for it. But if it was part of the christmas event ppl would complain it was just a cheap recolor 😅

It's literally double what it costs other people because our dollar is worthless. Too bad too because I would have liked that mount for my character. I really enjoy the Twitch streaming events and like supporting the streamers by watching their videos and earning rewards, but the fact that we have to gift subs and pay for this mount just doesn’t make it worth it. I’d rather buy the original snowman mount on the ffxiv store when it goes on sale. Not everyone can afford to gift subs on twitch while already paying for their own ffxiv sub during the holiday season. They really fumbled the ball with this one, sadly.

FF14 SURE got lame after Dawntrail. Feels like the mmo is winding down and has no idea wtf it is SUPPOSED to be doing. I barely fire it up anymore. Game has too much shitty micro-transactions for this lame stuff. I guess square and Yoshi P are absolutely INSISTING on losing subscribers and money even more. I don't see myself ever coming back as a main game feels like an over the hill and dead type game. You were fun while you lasted FF14.

For anybody who doesn't want to gift just for the reward, I get it. But the point is to get a bonus for doing something you were going to do anyways. If you wanted to support your favorite stream with a donation like this, doing the gifting during the promotion will get you something for your support. If you weren't going to gift without the collab then the promise of a reward shouldn't affect your decision.
