One of the big reasons why I think she is so worth pulling for is her 4 star rarity and is on average a lot cheaper than a SSR but we all know this game sometimes screws you over with desire sensor (1.2k SQ kriemhild lel) so if you spent a bit too much and got too unlucky on her banner, missing out is not the end of the world.

I’ve been pretty blessed on the F/SR banners it definitely feels like the game rewarded me for platinuming F/SR and completing 5 playthroughs on all of the different difficulties. I managed to roll NP5 Yui and NP4 Ushi in probably about 300 SQ

Another servant I want to highlight for Yui synergy because of her release on NA is Bazett. Her dual quick and buster buff along with her taunt on NP makes the heal on Yui’s Np especially valuable. Yui doesn’t completely solve Bazett’s sustain issues, but on planned out teams, she’s an option to give Bazett another turn or two of durability.

Zhang Jue is also another servant that can buff the party with is S1 (Arts and Quick) at level 1. The only drawback is the lack of a taunt, but fortunately people can buy Outrage in the Rare Prism shop. I used him in some comps so then I could get a good support for my main dps.

To add on to your points, Yui as a 4* has a much lower cost than the 5* supports she's competing with. It allows for greater flexibility in team composition, allowing you to bring higher rarity servants/CEs elsewhere. In theory you can kinda compare Yui with a 5* CE to 5* supports with a 4* CE. In practice it works out a little differently, but still the point stands that I think Yui's lower party cost is a minor but non-negligible advantage that she holds over 5* supports.

After looking at her skills and comparing it to other supports i just realized that instead of "discount premium support" for her SR rarity, she feels more like a "premium Hans" which is very cool! I only got her at np1 after i used all my SQs trying to get her copies but the desire sensor f'd me up and gave me NP2 ushi gozen and np 1 summer musashi... Typical FGO kekw

Good to know you also appreciate how great Yui is Some points from me, the Ox King CE is definitely better on Yui herself instead of Castoria since you're probably bringing that CE when you're using an Arts DPS, meaning the Castoria can use better CE and provide Yui the NP charge for her to use NP turn 1. Or for people who don't have Summer Skadi but have normal Skadi or a Quick attacker with self Quick buff, then the Ox King on Yui or normal Skadi can also provide the attacker with the rainbow buff and get all of Yui's NP buffs. Also, you mentioned that her NP is somewhat tied to the skills CD because it depends on the active color buffs and that's true, but you can also use Yui's NP to cover for the cooldown periods after your main skills are on CD For example, you can use Yui's NP a second time on the 3rd turn when your color buffs only have 1 turn left to give your attacker some offensive buffs for the next 2 turns while waiting for their skills CD. This is especially useful in a stall teams where you want steady damage throughout the turns, and you can equip Yui with Prisma Cosmos to make her able to use NP again more consistently. Even outside of stall teams, more use of her NP also means more heals which helps your team sustain in general if it's taking you the extra turns to get the skills up again to finish a battle Lastly, for people who only got NP1 Yui, don't worry about not being able to unlock her Append 2 because you lack her coins. The 20% starting NP is very crucial to Yui's gameplay and fortunately, levelling her to Bond 10 will give you her Bond CE(which is good for party Arts up and Crit up) and enough coins to unlock one Append skill. Sure you can make it faster and roll NP2 so you can unlock it sooner along with better buffs numbers, but I'd like to point out that even at NP1 with some invesments, Yui can offer you a lot of value considering her in game status as a 4*.

I have Yui, and I really like using her with many Servants, with Quick and Buster skills to use her Arts as well, to get all the buffs in her NP, I used Summer Skadi as well, for trying to give Takeru a Quick and Buster up too, and the damage is very good. Using with Iori and Gray is satisfying too. I am really proud of having her NP 5, I didn't obtained S. Musashi, neither Ushi Gozen, just Yui. And for me, that's enough.

the obvious pairings with yui are ushi gozen and miyamoto iori from the same event. both have a quick and buster buffs making yui enhance their roles as crit dps and st-dps on top of providing survivability with her heals to them. yuis heal especialy helps ushi gozen cause she lacks any defensive buffs herself. hot wheels is also a good option with his 3t quick and buster buffs.

Seems solid. Will have a couple years to see where my quartz are by the time she comes out over here anyways. Really comes down to the challenge quest value and that's certainly there. Though I probably have enough options for challenge quests even without her (or just borrowing off support). But it's not like I'll intentionally skip her without any reason. Will somewhat depend if I feel like chasing Ushi Gozen at the time. Seems like a pretty darn good 4* support and that isn't a bad thing.

Weird comparisons that completely ignore why servants are used for a comp. Like Lady Avalon having the party invul and overcharge or Ms Crane immediately yeeting herself out after the turn. Maybe if you're trying to 1 turn stuff, she would be good. But losing the extra np charge is painful for most content. Now you're trying to fish for perfect card pulls to get enough refund or just hoping the boss won't just np charge immediately after a break bar. It's literally just TA brainrot after all since all her strengths revolve around min turning. Heals are ultimately useless in a min turn since either you kill the boss fast, or it kills you fast due to no protection. Easier pulls are also a misnomer. 4 stars have no pity and fgo loves it's spooks.

The sad thing about Yui for my account is that, i only have 3 units that benefit from her and considering most of my dps units are arts, so cant use summer skadi. I use only story supports for main story. She is a good unit, but not particularly useful for my 6 month old account . As of now, she is a more expensive Hans in most scenarios. But hey, may become more useful in the future for this account. Definitely goated if i get her in 2 years in my NA account, which is pretty strong

Rolling for your wanted 4* is sometimes harder than rolling for the banner 5*. Happened several times before. I fear rolling for Yui but getting Ushi instead, and in the end no Yui.

Got her to NP5(actually NP6) and now part of my double castoria team swapping her in for the 2nd/3rd wave . Also works well with Summer Musashi as a counter to the hp loss of her 3rd skill.

At first I was quite disappointed that I got Yui instead of Raikou but with time I realized how versatile she is. Currently I have no problem using her for OC quests.

Yep and 100 percent worth it. Sadly I spent an 150 extra trying to get np 2 (which I didn't get 😢). But guess thats what I get for trying to be greedy and gets np 2 for that extra np damage with Oberon especially.

The only thing that i've got a beef with in her kit is that her buffs numbers are locked behind NP levels, which if RNGesus want to screw you he will not give you copies of her. Overall she's still a premium support for cq even at np1

Works for me. I'll roll for her in two years for NA. I wanted the final two copies of Musashi Berserker to get her NP5 anyway, so this is neat. Even better that I am not rolling for Merlin Prototype.

I really wouldn't call her "One of the best supports in the game" considering the only thing she brings to the table is damage and healing. Comparing her to the actual top tiers you miss out on a lot of utility if you were to use her over someone like Merlin or Castoria or Tamamo. She's easily the best "budget" support but I can't really see her as anything more than that when her "utility" is barely a sidegrade to Xu Fu at best.

After watching all the Fate SR cutscenes on KZbin, I can say that she is definitely worth the quartz spent. Story aside, I will have to agree with Plushie here as well since there might (copium) be a 5* servant that will provide the rainbow buff with 80% NP battery in the future.

A good way to think about yui is that her 1st skill doesnt exist but instead she can sustain herself just aswell as an ssr with higher hp if not better. Many sr or lower rarity supports have this problem where the boss is doing aoe damage and they die before the castoria or the merlin or whatever. Yui 1st skill just says "nop im just as good". Yui second skill is tbh 2 different skills. Its oberon skill and its stars plus defense. Yui third skill is self battery plus pretender merlin. In terms of kit we have an sr with the same sustain as an ssr and her skills are oberon skill plus pretender merlin plus stars and defense. When you put it like that her kit honestly doesnt sound bad at all

I kinda disagree, at NP1 she provides 70% for quick/buster and 100% for arts servants that are rainbow buffed. Wu zetian provides 80% to quick. Boudica provides 80% for buster/quick servants and 100% for arts servants. Santa Martha provides 70% to everyone and 120% when against divine/demon/undead, Cnoc provides 110% damage bonus for non-arts servants and 90% for arts servants. Wu caster provides 80% to buster servants, though is also limited. She is still very good, a top tier 4 star, but there are plenty of 4 star supports and even one 3 star that compete with her in damage (especially if you have less than NP3). Sure you have to jump through some hoops to get some of them working, but Yui has her own hoops to jump through.

got yui and ushi gozen once each on my main jp account and its not too bad. also got yui 3 times on my 2nd account along with one gozen. yuis buffs arent as big at np1 but shes still pretty good. obviously higher np levels will make up for having low skill levels but its still worth having her regardless.

Nothing is actually a must roll other than prolly castoria imo, I say this partially because she is a 4 star so her average price is lower. If you got very unlucky and you don't need a hyper offense support then its fine to skip

Not really, Pope Joan is a wave 1/2 killer with good team skills. 20% aoe charge per turn, 20%atk up aoe, 30%aoe arts up 30% self charge and AOE np. better in most cases, just in 90++ comps Yui would be worth using over her excluding cost.

14:35 not using weaker supports until the better one is bond 15 is a terrible way of playing the game. Its way more efficienct to use lesser supports when possible and save Castoria's bond for the harder nodes. You gain nothing by overkilling the node in refund and dmg, only benefit could be leveling up any MC.
