@@Avalon788 In her summer outfit maybe but her main costume has tons of fantastic artwork AND doujins made of her so I have no idea what you're talking about. Most servants in Fate have ungodly amounts of high quality artwork. You can get lost on (an art site I cant name apparently because KZbin just automatically deleted my comment for saying its name) for hours & not reach the end & end up with 300 tabs open. There are a couple servants with not a lot of artwork like Dioscuri or Lakshimi Bai but it's pretty rare & yu mei ren is not one of them lol

The only thing that I think is a bit bad about Yu is that she's a Welfare servant coming after the Fate/Requiem event. So that's 2 back to back free Lancers. Which isn't the worst thing, but ehh. I will say, the fan service is always appreciated. lol

She's okay. She has quite a few failings and Tamamo is now solidly better with Goddess Metamorphosis (Sky), but she's serviceable mostly. You're right that she doesn't compare to any of those, though.

FYI, Tamamo Lancer has one of the bests skill after her 3rd got a Strengthening Quest. Her 3rd skill lost its self stun, got a battery up to 30%, and the star gen and crit became 3 turns.

Consort yu gets overlooked because Castoria comes out right after summer 5 (i think). Being a quick servant, it's kinda hard to get noticed when the meta immediately changes to arts.

I think Castoria came out before Summer 5. Yea, her being a ST Quick Servant when Arts has taken over the meta doesn't help her much either. I think also it cause we had two other lancer welfares too. (Kagetora from the guda 4 rerun and Erice from the Requiem collab)

Anny comes before on NA compared to JP. And is not like Castoria kiled the Quick. Nowadays you still find a lot of Skadis on the support friend list, Even more with the múltiple supports. But you won't find a lot of Yus because everyone assumes everyone have their ones

the event is really easy, you can max ascend her day 1 and the missions to np5 her are very basic so I think her value depends on the age of the account, veterans wouldn't really use her unless they like her and newbies would be carried by her despite having mostly castorias in the friendlist since the content they're doing doesn't really require a double skadi set up to complete

@@benja9029 I actually hate this event. The way the missions are structured: forces you to play bronze nodes so many times before advancing in the story. If only DW and Lasengle made the bronze nodes 20 ap, it would be ok, but no, fckin 40 ap every time and you can't advance until you've done them so many times. It's so godam annoying. No 200% damage CE, drop rates are bad, bond points are sht, etc. Even the QP makes no sense. Why spend 3 CE slots just to get a rare enemy that drops 50k qp on a 40 ap node when you can just go into the daily quest with the same ap and get minimum 7 times that amount with NO CE slots filled? Shop items are good I guess, but this is still the most inefficient summer event I've ever seen.

Hey man, Important question. I am currently playing the event in order to get her, and I saw this vid, so I am leveling up an Atalante and Mash as you suggested. Thing is, I also have a level 60 Okita J Souji that I have put some effort into. Is there any way that I can make a team between the 4 of them work, or is it too overzealous? Depends on what type of fight your bringing them to. Okita is a ST quick saber while Yu is a ST quick lancer so you dont really need two dps’s unless you have the CE’s for it to NP from the get go

don’t know if you still need the help but atalante and summer okita can serve as good wave clearers while mash can provide utility for the team with her np and defensive skills. summer yu is single target so she’s not much of a wave clearer and if you were to bring her on the same team as atalante, then she runs the risk of encountering saber enemies unless you’re going against all neutral enemies. they’re all good star generators so you’ll have no problem critting the enemies to death and you could always borrow a friend’s skadi or use yours if you have her since it’ll be hard to find her on someone’s support list now that castoria is out. either way, all 4 of them can make up a solid team if you play well enough, hope that helps!

OG Yu isn't that bad at NP3. If you put black grail on her she can do 30% attack, 60% NP amp and 40% buster amp all on her own without support and her kit lets her spam the fuck out of her NP while draining the enemy. Her only downside is lack of survivability and I'm holding out hope they give her a guts that procs on NP

Honestly, I'd argue that Extra Attack Append is important for NP-Spammers, Soloers, and Crit Chainers, moreso than even Mana Loading Since Extra Attack Append also improves NP Gain and Stargen

Since I got double spooked by Xiang Yu rolling for Asclepius (and didn't get Asclepius in that roll), I was waiting for Summer Paisen to get them together. But Man I feel like I have so much lancers I like with Kenshin, Shishou, Erice, and ROMA eating my gems I feel a bit overwhelmed by another Lancer. And here we have Summer Yu, a Welfare that before the Summer Event happened in NA that I was really neutral about. I didn't absolutely love her nor did I absolutely hate her; I was directly in the middle. After the Event however, I can say that I Really Like her in general (Including her OG Assassin Form while I'm at it, lol. ^_^) and she's Really Good!!! It's alittle sad that she made Lancer Tamamo Obsolete since I happen to have Lancer Tamamo NP 4!!!! (The funny thing is I was trying to get NP 2 of another Servant when I got Lancer Tamamo NP 4, so Tammy came to me that may times when I was trying to get a different Servant, lol. ^_^) I do plan to use Summer Yu more often; I just gotta find time to work on her Skills alittle bit.

I mean whether that outdamaging comment is because Yu is auto NP5 where Tamamo lancer has to be rolled to be NP is something I'm not sure is what you meant and given I kind of mostly people are split on how often she's used but I think the fact her anti male niche affects her NP kind of puts her lower than Tamamo lancer since I even outside the anti male damage, Tamamo Lancer has done big damage especially with the right team comps giving her the right buffs and that's even more so the case now that her 3rd skill in JP no longer has that self stun effect. and that's not accounting for the fact koyanskaya light and dark basically put buster servants back on the top of the food chain when it comes to raw damage. Consistency is something that plays into Yu's favor this time around but considering most try to finish boss battles quickly to avoid getting stacked with debuffs I'm not sure if her being an A grade is accurate where I kind of feel she is a bit more on the B+ grade of things honestly. not bad to have especially if you lack anti male units outiside of Euryale.

Unless your Tamamo is NP2 or higher you'll get more damage out of Yu so probably, on the bright side Tamamo gets a buff in a couple years that makes her much better

Cu is better if you need to survive for a long time or stall, Kagetora is the most balanced and best in most general situations, and Yu is best if you are specifically up against a male enemy and want to deal as much damage as possible.

Her NP gain should be astounding. She has the same deck and hitcounts (except for one hit less on her extra card) as Vlad III(Extra). Her AQQ chain should give her around 30% np. 1.1% np gain on attack is a LOT. Usually servants have less than 1. Yagyu Munenori has 0.81% and Gilgamesh(Archer) has 0.37% just so you have something to compare.

The summer event comes after that, but there's no new servants until summer, so no new reviews. Also, there are yet another six summer servants to review. So is fine. Btw, Seraph is not a rerun, but an interlude release. You only get to do the Main Story, not the free quest, nor the shop. If you did the Altera Christmas Event is the same thing.

Aww… I was hoping for the whole thing again. But at least we will still get some extra SQ. Seeing the new review also threw me off, but it makes sense. Gotta release something to appease KZbin, and since there are five other ones it would be best to start ahead of schedule. I should also look up what’s next, since I don’t have a clue what is after the anniversary, save for a FGO version of DMC’s Vergil.
