Refresca, Electra, Consignia, Essentra..... I swear the same British brand-management bullshitter company makes these names up for all these products and services and just draws them out of a hat. Brand names like these make me cringe. If it ends with 'a', you know its someone in an office making up the names think they've just added 'class.' I've rebranded my dick, using their school of thought, "Penia"

Interestingly like the old Western region of BR, these trains are diesel-hydraulic whereas everyone else used diesel-electric propulsion for high speed (over 100 Mph) DMU's (like the Voyagers/Meridians), so it's history repeating itself. Like the comment from the boss about reliability, how wrong he was! And when Paul is showing of the passenger alarm you half expect him to reply to the driver saying there is fire coming from underneath the train, given their habit of catching fire!

@@GWRProductions-kg9pt When originally introduced FGW bore the brunt of their unreliability. Years and several mods later, the 180s became more reliable by the time the likes of Grand Central and Hull Trains got them.
@sloeginandsleep11702 жыл бұрын
I used to drive 180's. Trust me, they could be maintained by god himself and it still would have sht the bed as it pulled out of the depot. In their defence, as much as I disliked First, the 180 was a dog when initially put into service. No train should trip a RCD when you reset your AWS or randomly explosively release fire retardant when sat at a platform when stone cold and just started.

Think the Adelantes are better for medium distance jobs, like along the Cotswold line from Paddington. I've done Sunderland to King's Cross on them once or twice and the ride, seating and engine vibrations aren't the most pleasant experience for the 266 mile journey IMO.

@@NaenaeGaming Is the LNER service from F Sq much better?
@NaenaeGaming Жыл бұрын
@@manomaylr never had the chance to try the service since Grand Central provides much more frequency and is generally the cheapest and most convenient option other than changing in Leeds, have tried the Azuma though and I’ve got to say the Adelante’s are more pleasant to travel on down to the better padded, less upright seating and the lack of the harsh lighting on newer sets.
