Same, she is zo amazing and strong. Learning while she learned how her autism and ed are related is so inspiring. So proud of her!

Christine is just so kind and sensitive in this documentary. I found it so relatable being a late-diagnosed autistic woman who also went through eating disorder, misdiagnosis, and so many challenges as we all tend to. Life is much better now I know my needs. I work supporting other autistic people now. It's a hard path for so many of us. (Also self-diagnosis is 100% valid! 🥰)

I have followed Fi’s journey since the beginning. She’s incredibly strong and inspiring. She’s doing really really well in recovery. For anyone interested, her channel is Fi’s Fight Back

I already had an ED, but I had been eating excessively. At 14, I restricted hard for 6 weeks, and I think that cemented it for me. I feel you, Fi. I see you. I just kind of caved in. I was bullied at school for my weight; they said I was 'eating too much.' At home, I was yelled at for having severe issues with food texture (which we now know is another eating disorder, ARFID). i didn't have a break, and all the bullying was all about food and weight. No wonder I am the way I am.

Well I have Autism too so I believe what she is saying is true and plus I’ve been through isolation at which has not been easy for my 3 years in my life since covid because sometimes I always tell myself why was I here in the first place or how do I have a purpose of life and mostly people do the same repetitive thing everything for there whole life so I also say to myself Why can’t people realize that their not the only ones who also have issues like can’t we ever get along, I’m just worried how the worlds going to become everyday I just want things in life to change

Promoting recovery is one thing and trying to promote MH illness as life style by having every single diagnosis is another. As someone who knows this woman from few years ago and her blog I don’t understand one thing. She never mentioned psychosis and hearing voices any longer, no mentioning bipolar or BPD any longer, is like every year new diagnosis, let’s see how long this autism diagnosis will last. I wish her best but I really hope that at some point in her life she realise that her family loves her and always will even if she is well, independent and just living her life. I really hope her sister is ok x

fun fact, for women those are very common diagnoses before they finally get diagnosed with autism. She literally said after this diagnosis, and with the changes implemented, she is on route to a better life already.

Normal everyday people find it hard to understand some people are not good at socialising or fitting in,that it's a different wiring of the brain because to me normal is excessively social ,also a lot of autistic people find themselves unemployed because they find it hard to fit in and this government sanctions them.

Im in a noisy and smelly environment and this has led to me undereating i have lost 2.5 stone and most muscle and body fat im at a dangerous low level of 8 percent and have bmi of 15.8 as i walked excessively to cope with the noise, i also suffer from restrictive eating. I have Arfid and autism and am very ill at present. Bmi is dangerously low and body fat less than essential levels so organ at risk of failing had to give up running and boxing. Im unable to eat enough calories to start putting on weight. Im probably a few weeks away from inpatient and at risk of refeeding. The possibility is high enough i might not survive. Id warned my case manager my health would suffer in a noisy environment. Make sure your looked after Fi.

It’s things like this that promote autism as a “ superpower” I think it’s important to stop giving attention seekers a platform to propagate these self diagnosed mental illness influencers (Although eating disorders of all kinds are important to educate people about health and fitness)
@mossyteef Жыл бұрын
In what way does this promise autism as a “superpower”? She spoke clearly about how autism symptoms made her struggle through life and develop an eating disorder.

@DM-it1qf Жыл бұрын
@@nousernamefound.7 diagnosis is very difficult for many people. It shouldn’t be a diagnosis since it isn’t a disease. Society is the disease, not autism.
@DM-it1qf Жыл бұрын
Autism isn’t an illness, it’s a difference, it shouldn’t be something people are diagnosed with. Society causing us microtraumas is the problem. It’s our superpower because we make it one. I’m very curious as to how you think you have the right to speak over actual autistic people’s experiences. We didn’t ask you.
