Exactly. Such an obvious and simple solution to the charger cable storage issue.

I'd suggest that you check with your dealer. Depending on where you are, you might find that prices are MUCH cheaper than the MRP. That is because manufacturers HAVE TO sell a certain %age of EVs, and if they are below that number, the penalties are so big that they'll be doing almost anything to shift an EV. The MRP is so that different markets don't see what is happening in others, and that the companies don't get hit for anti-competetive pricing. I've heard of absolutely INSANE pricing on things like the e308, with in the regiobn of 10+K being knocked off at the dealers.

As someone else commented, not everyone can afford a new car so a few more reviews of used cars showing how well they compare now would be great. I know you've done this in the past but not so much recently. I still think your reviews are much better than most due to the willingness to mention bad aspects of cars that most reviewers shy away from.

I find the comparisons you give to other cars and which you would go with, is very very useful. It keeps the viewer aware of other cars in the price point and potential prices. How does finance work with a nearly new, and tax rebates ... And does it mean the customer gets hammered on the interest rate? Great value videos for the subscription. 🎉 🎉🎉

It's a shame Stellantis are stuck on this 50kWh battery across their entire range without that efficiency edge that the S.Koreans have managed, they really need to edge closer to 60kWh or better it - at least on selected models. My guess on a true 70mph highway test it wouldn't do that 3.9mi/kWh and you'd be short of the magic 200mi range.

The peugeot e-3008 is available with 73kwh and 98kwh batteries, so they do have other batteries in their range. Efficiency wise the Fiat 600 is on par with the Hyundai Kona and Kia EV3 according to the EV Database website.
@davidcolin65192 ай бұрын
@@drfisheye Given the choice, I'm finding it really hard to think of a reason why anubody'd go with any of the Stelantis offerings when you consider the EV3 as an alternative. I wonder how long the Hyundai/KIA group will continue to sell multi-powertrain options like the Kona. With the Ioniq 3 on the launchpads, and likely to undercut the Kona in the same way that the EV3 undercuts the Niro e, I don't see them continuing with another generation.
@petesplaneta93402 ай бұрын
Its problem is that there are so many other cars that do the job better. 200 miles of range with 100kw charging makes long journeys less convenient. With that range you stop when you have 40 miles left and then wait for ages (about 50 min) for the battery to fully charge, because of the limited range. If it’s wet then it’s worse. However faster charging encourages you to put some in and move on and extra range gives you more contingency. Either makes a car fine but neither requires planning. So just buy something better in the same segment. That Skoda Enroq wipes the floor with this!

Production of the 500 electric has been suspended due to low demand says Stellantis. I have a feeling that they are not making profit on these cars and even losing money on each sale; their production efficiency is not up to scratch. The 600 needs to sell in good numbers to allow for mass production but the prices are just too high, it may go the same way as the 500e.

My opinion about those retro-cars = Every time the name of the original is used (e.g. "Fiat 500"), the original itself should be shown alongside the new 'mutant'. For size and style comparison. One can fit two original Fiat 500's in this bloated blob. The original can hold 4 people and is fun. The only fun this fake namestealer gives is that it has you two guys in it, but that makes any car Oké. For this new "compact SUV" Fiat should just find a new name.
@duncanbuchanan2182 ай бұрын
It does not look like any other EV. The interior is rational (aside from the plastic cover thingy) for a couple with occasional people or kids in the back. At the right price, in the right spec it would be a contender for me. BUT, the Fiat dealer is miles away. That does not matter until something goes wrong... I have been brave in the past with 3 Alfas, 2 good, 1 great but faulty... Lets see where we ar in 2 years, might be a nearly new buy for me...
