That tailgate is going to be MINT!!!!! One of my subscribers asked me if I noticed the increase in chemical prices lately like mineral spirits and lacquer thinner... I did! They really jumped in price! (as did shellac) LOL Thanks King!
@805ROADKING4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Bud!! I haven't bought thinner in a while, I have a 5 gallon can in the shed and just keep filling the gallon cans!! But I did buy a gallon of paint a year ago when I bought the truck and last week I bought the same identical can and it was $25 more!!☺

Nice job, these skills are going away due to cheap thin sheetmetal and plastic. Fortunately some of the old stuff is still around. This will be good for the cool stuff.

It's sitting on my workbench!! We haven't had any time to work on, we though we would get to it this winter but that didn't happen!! We'll get back to it but don't know when!!☺

I'm surprised you being a old school body man, that I have never seen you use lead for filling, you should be old enough when that was used . I had a older guy work for me that is all he ever used. Oh course he didn't live all that old, LOL
@805ROADKING4 жыл бұрын
There's a reason nobody uses it anymore Matt Matt!! It would be like wiping your ass with a corncob!! The last time I used it was back in the mid 70's!! Besides being a pain in the balls to work with, it's way too expensive, not just the lead but the gas, tallow, tinning butter and special tools and we're not even gonna get into deadly toxicity!! Plus it takes forever to fix just a small dent!!☺
@twocvbloke4 жыл бұрын
I think the backside of this truck will be outshining the rest of it, got your work cut out to make the rest of the bodywork look like the tailgate... :P
