It's 5am and I am finishing up sth for my work. I just love listening to your video again and taking glimpses at the highlits. You really make me want to try out doing all of it: spinning - blending. You make it seem so easy with giving all those details. Love your videos, watching them again and again. Hope someday to have the time to try them out. ❤

Thank you for showing the process of picking the wool then blending the silk into it. That’s going to work into a beautiful sweater! I also have a 3 color Jacob fleece from my friend that I’m spinning now. I decided when I first saw it that I would make it into a colorwork project but still have not decided what… 😊 It’s spinning so beautifully soft with sheen that I did not expect! ❤

Thank you so much for a great video! I really loved seeing you go through and give details on the picking. I always feel lost when there's VM, I never know how much is ok and how much is really worth fussing over, but watching this gave me a lot more confidence in processing my fleeces. I also laughed out loud at "does this mean I get to buy another fleece? I already did." You are the best, you make my life better too!

The Jacob is so lovely as it is without dyeing it. I do have some natural black Shetland which is a deep chocolate brown that I added a tiny amount of cobalt blue sari silk and purple and navy silk tussah to some of it and made rolags, I used just the tiniest amount of silk - less than 5% and used the silk in only one of the plies, so you just see a little here and there and it doesn't detract from the natural variations in the wool.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you do for color-work with all that natural colored wool. The shetlands' have such a different look with the same color silk waste in them don't they? I like them both, pretty color too. That's a great way to go about blending all that. Should knit up into something really nice. I can see John liking it with just the greys and blues. Have fun with the fam and that should never be rushed :) I'm doing pretty good...down to one plastic grocery bag of wool to wash. Betting hubs is happy not to have to move it around in his garage anymore LOL.

For sure I feel you. I can also go sometimes "not in the mood" or just having a break. I recently got back at knitting but not the wheel as I broke my ankle. It's getting better. I do find my knitting takes me to a better place where I don't think about things I can do little about which is a great relaxing mental rest. Have not tackled a fleece but maybe one day. I do love wool.

That jacobs fleece is amazing!!! I just finished a Romney lambs fleece. It was so dirty I got a great deal. I used a sheet to catch the dirt. I still had to clean the whole house. The roving is beautiful though so I’m really happy with it. Trish, please stop berating yourself. We understand!! I think you get an enormous amount done. You also motivate me to get back to work. I’m always concerned you are going to catch your fingers in that licker. Be careful
