Your rug is so beautiful!! You inspired me to use a loom I made and have not tried yet 😅 I am sorry to hear about your anxiety..many years ago I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder, PTSD, and manic depressive disorder. Dealing with waves and attacks most of my life. Last year I cried out to God for help, and Jesus almost immediately came into my life and since then has completely set me free from all those things. He says he will open the door for anyone that knocks ❤

If you type frugal measures into your search engine it will pop up I took pictures in February 20, 2023 scroll down you will see the rug loom it is a weaver's delight go further down you will see the other loom it is eight heddle ten treadles it is an old loom it has no markings on it to say what it is my sister refurbished it for me. The bench seat they made out of the woman's cradle or crib it is a 1910 loom it was four heddle but she upgraded to eight I like to think the woman is looking down on me using her loom and smiling I still feel very much a beginner if anyone knows what kind of loom it is I would love to know.

It's funny how our "stuff" can take over the house! I have 3/4 of the basement and one whole bedroom as studios, and I keep eyeing the living room lol. So far, I'm controlling myself, but I'm not sure how long that will last! I love love love your rug, the colors are so pretty! I've made rag rugs on the big tapestry loom by twining the strips and I use them in the bathroom - they hold up extremely well and wash well too. I was wondering how you liked your new loom so it's great to see it in action. Did you feel like it's sturdy and solid enough for the rug weaving? Compared to my big clunky loom, I see those and think they are for more delicate fabrics, what do you think?

Love the rug! How wide were the fabric strips? You tore them, not cut? And how bad does the torn edge fray in the wash? I was prepping some rag rug material and cut my strips and then I was sewing the cut edges to the inside. It's taking forever, but I didn't know how badly it would fray. I can totally empathize with the anxiety. It is a big reason why I work from home as an artist. I don't know when it will hit, so I don't want to have to call into a job and say I can't come in (adds to my anxiety to have to do that!) Hugs
