Hi all! I know I'm late to the party, but I'm working on this project now after watching the shawl tutorials. I don't have any variegated yarn, so I'm changing yarns after what I seem to be referring to in my mind as 'the owl eyes' row 🤭🦉 I'm really enjoying it so far. This will be a moving in gift to myself because I think I deserve it 😌 😋 Happy stitching everyone 🥰🧶🕷

Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU! I’m working along with you on this CAL. I started making the Bavarian blanket from your video tutorial using Scheepjes Whirl, but that pattern uses too much yarn for my Whirl budget. It’s a gorgeous pattern, but I’ll save it for a less expensive yarn. The Virus Meets Granny (I call it Granny Got a Virus. 😂) Blanket is perfect for Whirl! Your beautiful chattiness is keeping me company, and it is a much-needed distraction for me during the end of a long term, emotionally abusive relationship. Your videos are like having a therapy session. Working along with the videos is like another form of meditation for me. Thank you again, and I hope you have the day you want to have! ❤️

If someone is anxious to get to a certain point in the video but they don't want to skip for fear of missing something, click on the little gear icon and increase the speed until the desired point is reached. I use this often when I have viewed the video multiple times.

A correction to the typed pattern I submitted earlier: DC + CH 1 Round 7 - 9:58: HALF CORNER - Ch 4 (dc+ch1). Dc in next dc. (Dc, Ch 1) across the arc ending with dc. Omit the line that was here. Sk the sc to bridge the gap. You could do a ch1 if you want but it is not necessary. CORNER - (Dc, Ch 1) across the next arc ending in dc. Repeat in the next arc. Sk the sc to bridge the gap. CORNER - (Dc, Ch 1) across the next arc ending in dc. Repeat in the next arc. Sk the sc to bridge the gap. CORNER - (Dc, Ch 1) across the next arc ending in dc. Repeat in the next arc. Sk the sc to bridge the gap. FINAL CORNER - (Dc, Ch 1) across the last arc ending in dc. Join with SlSt to 3rd beginning ch.
