It is funny, my Turkish bow from TopArchery confused me as to which was the top, the pictures never did help, never did figure it out, I measured and everything it is the same from end to end. The bow works fine so I assume I picked the right end. Great video sir.

Very Nice review and a nice concept also! Would you do this again, Armin? Someone orders a bow you have not reviewed yet, let's it get delivered to you, you review it and then send it on?

Of course I will do that again, did it a few times already. Allowed me to test more bows :)

lightweight carbons 32inch draw and it would be decent fast even at that low poundage i think that bow with 35 @ 28" would be a exelent setup

Seems like a good bow for the price. Strange that tze fitting arrows are only 30'' not 34'' . It would be interesting to see how the laminated version holds up .

the owner just starts this kind of archery, he will get longer arrows, once he is used to longer draw

Speaking of string bridges, how do you stop the serving on the string from separating on them? The bridges are very smooth on my bow, but still the serving gets a bit separated.

@@ArminHirmer I see. Could it be that I draw too much then? I have searched a lot to find an answer to this, but I can't find it. I shoot a lot, so maybe this could be a problem as well. I don't want to bother you much, but if anyone else in the comment section has this problem, I would appreciate an answer. Thanks.

I’ve fancied trying a Manchu bow, and this looks like a nice starter point to see if I like the longer draws. My problem is arrows. I always by cheap-ish arrows, but they always come at 31”. Is there a cheap supplier of 33-34” arrows? My European draw is only 27” so I probably not reach the full 34”.

Dragos Coco not here, to buy the materials here and make them myself actually costs more than I buy ready made arrows from China.

@@tjj4lab A 1m long dowel rod of 8mm is under 1 dollar, picked for straight grain from any local hardware store. A chinesium grade "Stud Screw Dowel Screw Expansion Anchor Bolt Wedge Anchor Bolt" 8mm for a arrow head works nice and it is way under 1 dollar. Fletchings are easy to make but not a fortune to buy, and replacing them is necessary anyways. Super glue, 4 dollars will hold you for 200 arrows or more. I just use Super glue to reinforce the wooden nock and rarely to put on fletchings. Also you can experience the fun of making stuff which is a plus. I tested my last 8 arrows for spine (bending by a given weight) and they were very close to each other (+-5%), no ideea what spine they are though. Weight is also very consistent around 510 grains and center off mass is consistent.

Dragos Coco my nearest town has high street cancer (ie it’s only full of coffee shops and charity shops), there isn’t anywhere near here to buy such things. So it’s a long car journey to anywhere that might sell the materials. Even if I can source all the materials easily, the arrows I buy normally are anywhere between £1.50 to £2.50 each delivered. It’s literally impossible to make them for cheaper.

@@ArminHirmer ok, but in practice, what does that concept represent? Is there like a range of f-values in which the curvature of the bow is considered optimal, and I imagine, that maybe values outside that range mean that the bow is more likely to break?
