Welcome to Episode #144 with Dr. David Brady. Learn more about Fibromyalgia: highintensityhealth.com/fibrofix
We chat about chronic fatigue and pain, which can be really debilitating.
Having experienced periodic fatigue myself in the past, I know firsthand that finding a doctor who understands how to diagnose the root causes of fatigue and pain is a real challenge.
It’s even more challenging to find solutions that work.
I recently caught up with fatigue and pain expert Dr. David Brady to get to the bottom of this.
If you’ve experienced intermittent or prolonged fatigue, aches and pains, be sure to check this interview out:
Dr. Brady is a real pioneer in the functional medicine movement and has been helping patients find the underlying causes of their chronic pain and fatigue.
In the interview, he discusses the research about why people have chronic pain and presents solutions to help them fix it.
Here are a few key highlights:
09:15 What is fibromyalgia?
15:28 Links between stress, trauma and pain
16:13 Can fibromyalgia be a good thing pushed too far?
28:29 Neurotransmission and pain processing
30:32 Modulating serotonin levels
33:21 Inflammation and fibromyalgia
37:00 Impacts upon sleep
39:04 Improving sleep quality

Not one doctor can understand or treat this unless they experience it. Years ago the doctors would tell you it's in your head. To all those doctors I went to and told me it was in my head and try to put me on anti depressants they can go to hell....

I've always thought my Fibromyalgia was linked to childhood trauma, your mental, physical, emotional and psychological self becomes exhausted in trying to deal with childhood abuse, you become exhausted from life and the body reacts in Fibromyalgia. This doctor totally gets it.

I spent 1 year having all symptoms of fibro myalgia, un fortunately I visited 7 doctors all of them they were either ignoring the pain I feel or they give medication doesn't help, the first time I heard the term fibro myalgia was from the 8th doctor, I was feeling iam crazy and the pain I have is not real specially its all started after car accident followed by a lot of stress at work, thanks for your video it's amazing feeling that some people are listening and show sympathy to wards people's pain

Amr: The same thing happened to me, and no one had heard of Lyme disease, or even FMS, when my symptoms started, but I think sometimes the Lyme might "awaken" old injuries--the bacteria are very smart and will seek out weak areas to exploit, making that pain so much worse, among other body pain we often blame on "old age". We get so used to feeling sick, being in pain that we forget what it feels like to be free of pain, our mind crackling with ideas and happy thoughts, boundless energy....remember? Now, it's a succession of illness, disability, loneliness. One day it's the knee, next week it's the lower back, next month, a stiff neck, and on and on and on--being tired, depressed, exhausted, but cannot sleep, always feeling like we have the "flu" even in summer, running a low-grade fever, IBS, nausea, MIGRATORY PAIN, headaches, vision issues, brain fog, hair loss, hormones gone haywire, dizziness/vertigo, memory issues, cognitive issues, tremors, sinus issues, sore throat, swollen lymph glands, skin problems, rage issues, Alzheimer's..... Any of this sound familiar? Just check it out, OK? Dr. Richard Horowitz is here on YT, he has 2 excellent books and several seminars that you may find life-changing. It isn't an easy protocol, but it's the only way back to health. Look into: Nattokinase Serrapeptase Glutathione Sorbitol/Xylitol There is a comprehensive self-test Dr. Horowitz gives, which he has developed over the years, and it will help you immensely. It's in his book--WHY CAN'T I GET BETTER? I've just started the Protocol, and I really believe I've found the answer, or at least the beginning.... stay tuned.... OOPS--almost forgot: check out "biofilms" (see? can't remember anything anymore--I used to be a science teacher before I got sick). ...Also: the free movie: UNDER OUR SKIN here and on Amazon, Netflicks, etc. There are some other good documentaries on Amazon and here on YT. This information is quite new and is just starting to pick up steam. It is vital--more than 300,000 will be infected this year...many will not know they have been bitten until it's too late for a few days of Doxycycline to kill the bugs. They are finding that Climate Change is causing changes in bird migrations, and they are spreading ticks to places that have never had ticks before, like Canada. I love birds and have fed them for decades, encouraging them to live in my yard. Now, I don't know... Take Care, Amr. To Your Health....;0).... ***Let's not forget our furbabies who are just as susceptible as we are, more so--they can't tell us they don't feel so good. I adopted a beagle who had Ehrlichia, another noxious tick-borne bacteria (spirochete).

i'm wearing a shirt, i'm wearing a shirt, i'm wearing a shirt, i'm wearing a shirt, OH MY GOD THAT IS EXACTLY MY LIFE!!! It is literally my best example to people that im constantly aware of the shirt im wearing and its painful! that and seat belts... generally don't wear them or wear them improperly. Allodynia is evil... and not even just external things touching me, but my own body i swear it feels like a constant awareness of every layer. Like i can feel my skin touching my fat touching my muscles, touching my nerves touching my tendons touching my bones, like every single layer of my body is touching every other layer and it drives me insane every second of my life!!!! Cuddling another person? forget it. my face is the least sensitive so i just push my face against my partner for short periods of time. it makes me so sad because i want to cuddle, and it's just agonizing. Hard for other people to understand how mild exercise screws me up for days, and i can never get comfortable, people just think your lazy.. like my boyfriend could take out the garbage feel mildly inconvenienced and get on with his day. I take out the garbage and i might be medicated and crying for hours. Yet i wind up doing it anyway so that people dont think im taking advantage of or exaggerating somehow. I've tried every cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness group, breathing exercises, neuropathic remapping, nerve pills, injections, chiropractor, gentle movement class.. it gets really hard to stay positive and i find myself becoming almost agoraphobic. Even going from one room to the next gets hard so i've slowly moved all my clothes and stuff into the kitchen. It is so isolating to live with chronic pain!

I suffer for more than 15 years but tried to work more than full time. A doctor asked me what was this illness i talk about and like a silly woman i was explaining this illness and my problem. He said it is not illness, it is life. Pain is killing. My bones are like a frozen net. Not always but when my sole is in pain depression, stress it kills even though i try and force myself to be active.

My fibro pain is what I call 'all over body pain'; if I gently press on any area of my body with my forefinger it hurts. Restless leg syndrome causes bad sleep. I have had 2 neck surgeries, and endometriosis - I read that there is a link between these and fibro patients. Bad divorce of parents when I was 11 - 12. Father was control freak too. Also, when I was 22 and had to move back home with my toddler son, my father tried to pay me to have sex with him!

By the time you hit mid thirties, that stress starts a kind of burn out to begin with. Any fuse that could be blown out, is and then it burns!!! Good to hear at least one doctor has a proper understanding of the problem of fibromyalgia, from cause right through to how and why the body reacts the way it does. I would love to know what his Advice On Sleep!! 💖💖💖 Really like the time index in the description box, thank you! So helpful for us fatigued people out here who want to dive back into the video to revise certain issues. Many Thanks! Edited a week or three later. I live in the U.K and was lucky enough to buy a copy of this Doctor's book and have it sent over from America by Amazon!! I can't wait to dive into it!😀

Whenever I have the chance to travel, I always lose weight. Even with eating on-the-go type foods. Flying is very stressful though, as the seats get more crammed together and all the rules. But there is something about the change of scenery that helps.

I just bought your book and can’t wait to read it. I started to have pain when I turned 40 right after surgery on my foot and when I was going through peri-menopause. At 48 I got pregnant with invitro fertilization with donated eggs. The pain went totally away. I really forgot what it was like. When my twins were three it started to come back. I would have six months with no pain and six months with terrible pain. Now I have pain a lot of the time. I tell doctors this and they pretend I never said anything. I ask them if this gives them a clue and they turn their back on me. These are specialists who have this bad behavior. I don’t know what to do. I can’t take antidepressants because I have really bad side effects and they might work for a short time and then stop working. Is it Fibromyalgia or something else? Where do I find a good doctor?

Dear, now the cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is found: radiation of microwave-oven(magnetron).To stop you have to eliminate the oven out of the house.The plug out of electricity net because the oven has also radiation when it is not in use.And out of the house because the oven has a high voltage capacitor.The distance between an oven and a person is very important.After a 2 weeks without microwaves health becomes better.(total recovery=2months).The victims are more sensible and also the distance between victim and oven is important.(Also possible: nightmares, change of character)Most people with a microwave arent chronically ill because some people are more sensitive for microwaves, also the distance person/microwave is very important. The oven in another place is more safe. The radiation become less when the oven gets older.Some ovens give less radiation then others. In Russia the less radiation is allowed by law.BEANTWOORDEN

@meagiesmuse2334
@meagiesmuse2334 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, as long as your muscles are tight all over, not just in one place. Try magnesium citrate - Natural Calm drink mix is great. If you are very fatigued, you may want Magnesium glycinate instead, and if you have insomnia or cognitive problems, you may want Magnesium threonate.
@MsJanetLouise

@@meagiesmuse2334 I have cognitive issues (brain fog and lose my words/train of thought) and am very fatigued so would you recommend all the different magnesiums? Thanks for reply ☺
@kd2533
@kd2533 3 жыл бұрын
Dr Jacob Teitelbaum talks about muscle tightness and weakness (sensations of spasm) resulting from an energy deficient state in the muscles. Same happens in chronic fatigue syndrome patients. Tired muscles shorten. Then you get pressure put on nerves. Magnesium, D-ribose and l carnitine are what he recommends. Out of everything I've tried D-ribose twice daily is the best, with mag glycinate at night. Dr G Liptan suggests myofascial release body work - here Australia Bowen therapy and Rolfing is popular. It works to release tight fascia. I think Dr Brady saying Fibro isn't a muscle problem is not in alignment with some other practitioners. They all have different opinions.
