An awesome exchange sacrifice by Kramnik. The Knight was simply dominating force and white had no risk of losing after the sac. Personally missed it. Missed also Kramnik's idea of playing early b4 in the opening.

Early b4 was to open up a/b files and putting pressure on em. It gives good compensation for that pawn I guess. Also it's a common theme in reti apart from the hedgehog setup.

@@lapsuscalami62 Wrong. White eliminates the good bishop, leaving black with a bad DS bishop. White can never lose. Very typical sacrifice, black shouldn't have allowed it.

Eventhough Gary lost to him, he will go on as one of the greatest ever...unlike Kramnik. Now, I am a fan of Kramnik, Aronian and Alireza, eventhough he is not there yet.

@@danielasema5988 I like Kramnik. I began to respect him when beating Carlsen in great fashion. That says a lot. Who woud you list as your top 3? Please keep in mind that Kasparov was champ for 15 years. BTW, Kramnik was a student of Kasparovs. That means that he learned his rationale and exploited it.

То, что произошло, просто невероятно! Крамник до поры до времени играл сухо по-профессорски, и казалось, молниеносный и феноменальный Фируджа найдет в конце, где подкрутить. А вышло наоборот! Вдруг возник какой-то волшебный танец белых фигур на доске, и Крамник показал просто зверскую силу! Как мгновенно преобразился Крамник, когда возникло любимое его положение с нестандартным соотношением! Просто придушил мятущегося и растерянного Фируджу! Партия - яркий образец шахматной магии Крамника!

Obviously from my perspective Kramnik plays at super GM strength. Despite his advanced age.!? he still plays speed chess very well. After all 20 years ago he defeated the great Gary Kasparov for the world championship! Firouzja is already capable of beating any human, but that was as good a positional achievement by Kramnik as anyone not named Artemiev in the world

un"freaken"believable! Thought b2-b4 was not sound and Black was doing fine ... when, dang Rxe6! Positional sacrifice that works in Blitz like a charm.

It works in long game as well. The e6 bishop is blacks good bishop. Black can never win after that. And practically white has easier play.

Question: Does this chess board have the ability to read the pieces as they're being played to display it on the screen or are there people putting in/playing the same game on the software?

It think they are playing the same moves on the software, it's not automatic. Not 100% sure tho

Despite the odd principle, a rook Knight & bishop endgame vs 2 rooks & bishop the former is preferred although in point system you 2 points down. WoW!

many comments say: genius exchange sac. I think it was forced by alireza. Right before the sac, i said: "yep, here come the two bishops" and BAHM, Kramnik exchanges a rook for it.

the knight forked bishop and rook, black can just exchange his rook for the knight, after that white have 2 more pawns

@@rf5595 if the take the bishop post the rook by the Pawn, then the have to move the black bishop and in few moves white Pawn became a Queen unless he sacrfice another piece

There are so many stupid GM's out there who would call the referee for what AliReza did on move 04:23 (correcting the Rooks placement on a3), see how nice and humble Kramnik is. I have always loved his attitude. Such a nice and creat person Vladimir Kramnik.

Complete nonsense. You can adjust any piece on your own time as long as you announce it with "j'adoube", "adjust" and so on, exactly like Firouzja does. The number of GM's who would call an arbiter or even complain over this is exactly zero.

If Kramnik hits b7, black hits d3 and stays on a weak pawn on d3 that can be defeated. In addition, the d4 field would have been a basis point (not attackable by a pawn) for a black officer.

@@СергейИгнатов-к2ф actually, its because he lost his rook. Rook has to take pawn on g5. If rook moves to g1, bishop moves to e8 with a discovered check and wins free rook @pk11

Each player should wear 2 cameras on their head so we can see more angles. The players will quickly get used to it and will have the cameras installed on their heads before the game starts so we won’t miss anything even the handshakes

Stockfish shows -1.2 after the sacrifice and black rook C7, so it wasn't a great move. It's simply that Kramnik is for now faster.
