@staley1017 жыл бұрын
bravojr Fidget Spinners are actually the larval form of an interstellar alien race. They hatch after the required 1 million spins and use the unfortunate kids body as food before using the earth as a vessel to find other sentient world's to conquer. it's how the moon came to be in orbit around us today. The Apollo 18 moon mission brought them to earth originally and now they have spread everywhere. True story.

I finally got mine literally just a week ago. After months of waiting (PAST the expected delivery date). And honestly, they're very well made. They feel rock solid. So at least they were kinda worth the wait. A tactile toy kind of lives or dies based on whether it feels solid or not. But I'm never gonna support anything they make every again - the experience as a backer was atrocious in every way.
@Ubersaur7 жыл бұрын
The official ones are actually very good quality! A very noticeable difference compared to the bootleg ones. Probably worth the extra dosh, but being worth the wait will depend on the person, heh.
@xianated7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I just received mine recently too.. I'm pretty sure it was almost a year of waiting... It's not a bad product as things go, in fact, I'm playing with it now! My colleague liked it very much too. I watched someone review and compare an official one and a bootleg one, and found only minute differences. But the biggest difference will probably be in how long they last.

"Decompression" is probably a mistranslation from "stress-relief" in Chinese, since the word "stress" is synonymous to "pressure" and instead of referring to psychological pressure they somehow translated it to mechanical pressure.

As an autistic person I can 100% confirm that in my experience, the stuff about fidget toys giving us the sensory stimulation we need is true. That's honestly what most of this stuff aimed towards adults and teens was actually made for in the first place. I don't know what else to say, really. I can't really go anywhere or even sit at home without having something to stim with or else I get very anxious, frustrated, irritable, and get overwhelmed very easily.

One of things I find interesting about fidget spinners is just how fast they became a craze and then how fast they fell off leaving retailers and supplies with massive overstock to the point where you can still find them in shops to this day. Which is good for me since I like the spinners for what they are and I was able to get a load of them at 10 for £1 as a shop recently liquidated their entire stock.

I've gotta ask why companies like Nintendo, Microsoft, Sega, and Sony haven't brought out their own versions of fidget cubes using the actual analogue sticks/D-pads/shoulder buttons...etc. of their consoles and control pads. my generation was marbles, Pokemon cards/games, Yu-Gi-Oh, Tamagotchis, Hot wheels, rubber bands, yo-yos, Gameboys, COD and etc. All of them mostly die right away or they last awhile, mostly because the schools ban them or they stop being cool after everyone has them

As someone with ADHD & Aspurgers , fidget toys becoming more mainstream and easily-available have been a godsend for me. I, for one, love the toys. They help be focus on what I'm doing and relieve restless energy. It gives my anxious hands something to do. It gives me something to mess while listening to college lectures or watching TV instead of clicking pens or tapping on my desk or bouncing my leg.

Aha but the appendix has been theorized not to be as rudimentary as we thought! It acts as a sort of safe area for symbiotic bacteria in the case of bowel infections that kill the other bacteria in the intestines, from where once the infection has passed the bacteria can repopulate the bowels. People without an appendix are 30% more likely to suffer another bowel infection, and multiple species across the world have independently evolved, lost, and regained appendices across the ages. I have dispensed my pointless knowledge in response of the most arbitrary part of the video imaginable, my duty as a youtube commenter is complete!

Stuart, I must say, I've been following your channel for quite some time now even though I keep most comments to myself but today I just cannot refrain... I usually amuse myself to no end with your PoundLand and PoundWorld shenaningans (sorry if I mispelled that) but today, my friend, you really managed to bring me to the tears. Of laughter of course :P That Trim Balls (not an instruction) remark made me laugh for (i kid you not) over 10 minutes non stop. And every time I rewinded the video I would have a laughter attack. Kudos from Brasil to you sir!

At school in the late 60s a few of us had Sekiden guns,plastic pistols which fired clay balls by spring power,we soon found that dried peas worked just as well and were much cheaper. This all developed into a war between us Sekiden slingers and kids with traditional puff powered pea shooters. Soon the school was littered with dried peas and eventually both things were banned on the grounds that stairs covered in peas might be a hazard,health and safety gone mad as we didn't say back then.

Jonseemann First they take the dingle bop and they smooth it out with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then...repurposed for later batches. They take the dingle bop and they push it through the grumbo, where the fleeb is rubbed against it. It's important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all the fleeb juice. Then, a schlami shows up, and he rubs it...and spits on it. They cut the fleeb. There's several hizzards in the way. The blamfs rub against the chumbles, and the...plubis, and grumbo are shaved away. That leaves you with...a regular old plumbus.

The playground craze I remember from school was something I only remember as calling Clackers which similar to an oldschool football rattle but they had plastic balls at the end which would strike each other in the manner of a Newton's cradle. They were quickly banned because so many kids ended up with RSI in their wrists.

2:27 I remember those. That was a early 2000s thing, I think. I still have a few that I made. They were a bit rubbish, the gel-like tubes would snap at the slightest thing and some really young kids used to chew on them then choke on the plastic. I remember being really young and not being allowed a tamagotchi because my parents said it would die while I was in school Pokemon cards and sticker albums are still a thing, I'm informed by my 8 year old niece.

I don't think it's a fear of getting older, I got a fidget cube like a year ago because I fidgeted about in bed a lot and found it hard to sleep, so I actually own one, it'd be hard to say I hate them. I dislike that kids feel like they need to have one to fit in and then everyone and their aunt trying to cash in on them quick before they go out of style. Like right now my suggested feed is filled with utter toss about fidget spinners, every "phone repair shop" that just buys a whole load of shite off aliexpress and tries to flog it is rammed full of them. I don't really know, there's something about nonsense being shoved in your face constantly that makes it annoying. Edit: Yeah my cube is the same as that one, but they decided to do me a favor and actually have one of the silenced buttons be silenced, the downside however was that the other silenced button doesn't work at all.

Yeah, I can see that. I mean, ever watch Nostalgia Critic, another Internet Person? If so, you must know of his, now turned into a running joke, hatred of Pokémon. Now, anyone under.... Idk, at this point, 30? Has very likely played pokémon in childhood, and if into videogames, will probably tell you that Pokémon has delivered very consistently good games for the past decades. Of course, Nostalgia Critic is older than that (he was getting into college when Pokémon became a thing), and in his own words "We didn't know what it was about, but we didn't care. All we knew was that it was *everywhere*, and that was *annoying*."
