The ratting video was great, we need more ratting, falconry, ferreting and more country sports.

Listening to Tim and Cai talking about thermal and it kinda reminds me of the argument of people now using satnavs over map reading to drive somewhere.

Not crossing borders but I'm using a thermal scope to rat out farms, It can sort out a problem in under a week. But after this its a Border Terrier before a scope upgrade.

An interesting fact, a friend of mine was accidentally shot by his brother with an air rifle whilst ratting in the pig sheds as a boy, the pellet ended up in his Elbow and is still there 30 years later, the doctors decided to leave it in as it would have caused more problems to remove it than leave it in! He's still going strong and shows no signs of lead poisoning!

Had the same thing happen to me, but had mine removed, and again no issue with poisoning..at the time the doc said i was ok because it was a solid piece of lead...

Fieldsports Channel states that Roy's 43 minute podcast was to balance Dave Carrie's comments of the previous show. So, in Dave's 35 seconds of comment, Dave said a bit of consultation would have been nice but recognises lead shot has to go. Fair enough. Roy spends 43 minutes getting wilder and wilder in his accusations prior to David Wright diving in and adding further irresponsible comments, picking on partial findings and inclusive science. BTW, Roy says no one should eat any game meat at all if the animal has been taken with a lead projectile or you'll be poisoned for ever and turn into a cretin. This of course is supported by David and is not supported by conclusive science. More work needs to be done says the GWCT. As for the recent show saying what wonderful people gameshooters are making game meat available to those in food poverty, clearly we are not good people at all but all Crippinesque trying to poison those very people we claim to want to help. I've tried very hard but apart from the 35 seconds Dave Carrie gets, I can't find the full Fieldsports Nation podcast, fully supported by one of the main presenters, giving the case for consultation, sensible removal of lead shot from the field or anything that in anyway, shape or form could be described as balance. Can you post the link please?

Deer can be controlled without thermal scopes, it makes it too easy and just because this gent is responsible does not mean that everybody will be. For wild populations of animals whether they be birds, mammals or fish you need an in built inefficiency otherwise look at the humans ability to wipe out or severely deplete so many species of animals over the years, we do not need to make it any easier.

Another fantastic show fella's specially the ratting that was a bloody hoot to watch would have been better to be involved, have done it a few times with am old mate of mine who use to breed pheasants, he used a little cross breed dog fox terrier crossed chihuahua, yes you may LYAO, but he was an absolute killing machine 41 rats in one sitting one day just him all by himself. Now these sab's what bloody cowards they are all masked up pick on women, children and older people, only pick on someone they know they can intimidate, take their mask's off and see how they go. The hunter's and shooter's are not wearing mask's so that prove's who is not ashamed, embarrassed and proud of what they are doing. Sab's are just parasite's sucking on the blood of life and that people is a fact.

Those sabs in the news look just like terrorists, act and behave in the same way. So why aren't they treated like that. If a load of footballs fans says for example started walk down the street dressed and acted like that the police would be there to sort the problem.

Dear Charlie, If it’s possible, please go to Taiwan ROC 🇹🇼island to see how strict restrictions of guns, knives & hunting; there’re many strict laws & severe punishment; probably it’s stricter than mainland China 🇨🇳. If you can go hunting for shooting goose, pheasant,.. or whatever wild animals in Taiwan’s island, similar to what you did in mainland China; the sun rise may be coming from the west. I found maybe one wild animal is allowed to be killed in Taiwan 🇹🇼, that’s rat 🐀 , others may be some pest insects; but even killed those pests are legally, some Buddhist or citizen who have special opinions would criticize you. Laws showed the only one way to kill pest animal is using shotgun, but there’s no legal guns & cartridges can be bought by individual, nobody is allowed to buy guns & cartridges for shooting, hunting, self defense privately & freely. Something strange, unreasonable, ridiculous in Taiwan island, let me tell you a little bit in advance.

Thanks for this. Let me know if you can fund some hunting on Taiwan and I will try to come and film it. / Charlie
@tonylipton40684 жыл бұрын
@@fieldsportstv Dear Charlie, Taiwan 🇹🇼 is a beautiful island, the most of people are gentle & friendly, also it’s the most democratic area in Asia, government always emphasized democracy, freedom and human right; populations are around 24,000,000 but only around 1,400 legal civil guns, all are very old guns, including native people who live in high mountains, they are allowed to use bore guns to do hunting when they have ceremony, maybe hog, deer or other animals got permitted by government; otherwise all are prohibited. If someone has against guns laws (three different laws: guns & knives regulation, self defense guns regulation, sports guns regulation), depends situation, would be put in jail for many years or endless or shot to death by government. If someone has against wild animals protection law or animals protection law (two different laws), would fined a big amount, or put in jail plus huge amount fine, maybe get bankrupted. Even disturbed or just a touch to wild animal, may fine US$2,000; killed preserved wild animal or non-preserved animal, must be put in jail; very severe punishment; generally, civilians don’t dared to do hunting. Those are people who obey laws. But actually, there were some people do hunting would be convicted poaching, they might be lucky, didn’t get found & arrested. There’re many cameras in streets, also Taiwan’s people very like to use mobile phone or motor vehicle camera to take pictures or videos to lay bare something to police department or put in network, they ignore privacy; also some cities governments encourage people do that and grant bonus to lay bare illegal cases, it’s strange. About guns, since the end of World War II, Taiwan🇹🇼got strict restrictions of guns; after 1984, no more new license issued. Except North Korea, it’s special & can not be counted in comparison, Taiwan’s restrictions may be the strictest in the world, still same as martial law implemented period. Laws shows people can apply license to buy & own any kinds of legal guns and cartridges, but it’s nominally only; up to now, all are denied actually. Government always used reasons to deny, such as toppling government, sniping officials, society security, animals protection. So civil handgun & civil rifle were taken away for more than half century, now just few very old shotguns or bore guns are legally owned. If you want to bring your guns & cartridges to Taiwan 🇹🇼 & take hunting film, must apply permission in advance, otherwise you’ll be arrested. Now there’s no legal guns & cartridges can be bought for hunting in Taiwan, you have to prepare in advance. I think you may get special permission for hunting film by Taiwan’s government. Also you may ask UK representative officials in Taiwan at first. Right now, it’s mallards hunting season. In the past, I went to lake, pond, side of river or farm field to shoot ducks, including green head, pin tail, teal, goose (rare); or probably got chance of foxes, hares, pigeons; but it’s very hard to get hog or deer, because they are in high mountains, very difficult to reach, needs guidance, also dangerous. But I didn’t go hunting in spring, around middle of April, mallards would go back north, other animals are in season of reproduction, must let animals get reproduced with good cycling. In summer, very hot, there’s snakes, so I didn’t go hunting, the open might be middle of autumn. This hunting section is story, I ceased hunting for more than 30 years; mainly due to prohibition. Now, there’s a kind of bird (1.5 kg) called witch bird (scientific name: Threskiornis aethiopicus) is pest, if someone got allowed, can shoot those birds. Right now, seldom people do shooting or hunting, many youth are working on technology; by the way, there’re many technology companies in Taiwan, including the famous TSMC, you may ask the UK representative officials in Taiwan to arrange survey those science parks, you may find another news. If it’s possible, arrange a long stay at Taiwan, go to every county & city, a whole island tour, including other small islands (showed in map), you may find many beautiful & wonderful scenes, delicious foods, .., etc.; also can be filmed. I promoted shooting & hunting in Taiwan for many years, hope young generations get stronger, don’t be weak or degenerated; also many individual are eager to buy more legal guns & cartridges privately & freely; but too strict, unreasonable & ridiculous restrictions, it’s very difficult to keep going, wish laws can be amended as soon as possible. Wish you can promote field sports successfully in Taiwan 🇹🇼, also you are welcome always.
