Fair enough if you think they should be in clean controlled camps but where do you think these should be and how would these be funded 3. The rapes in Germany were a few citizens, you can not generalize a whole group of people from the acts of a few. These men have come from France - FRANCE - where they were living in the Calais Jungle by choice. They chose to live there because they didn't want to apply for asylum in France as it has a more vigorous vetting process than the UK. Once a refugee has entered a safe country they should apply for asylum, the fact that these men get to pick and choose which country they go to is proof that they are merely economic migrants and should be sent back whence they came.

I've been to parts of the UK and to some of your most historic cities and I see the homeless everywhere over there now, including women, young men ( young men, younger than this), and even ex forces soldiers. As a uk resident, I believe that it is our moral and ethical duty to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Our country isn't being bombed, we aren't overrun by soldiers, we are able to live our lives very well. We should treat refugees as we would treat our own citizens, in that they are allowed to live as they like but must obey our laws and be respected and held responsible in much the same way as British people. To turn our back on these people when they need our help is to say, "we and America created this problem, we created many of these conflicts, but never mind, you lot can't come in, deal with it." This is such a horrible way to look at it. These people are humans too, and deserve to be treated with respect, not turned away when they are most vulnerable.

As I've said before, these "refugees" should be claiming asylum in the first safe-haven country they arrive in. Why are they trekking across the EU, going through 5 or so safe countries to get to Calais and try get to the UK? You haven't answered that question. Why are the presenters so smug? Their arguments are based on snapshot pictures. Of all the people it is focused on one man. No system is high quality but it shouldn't denigrate the ethos. Why doesn't the media focus on what these refugees are fleeing? The UK has always been miserly about allowing migrants in. Look at the stats. All our views, mine included, are emotive. How many of us are really open to changing. It is sloppy however, for the media to question an entire system based on this one picture. Lets look at total stats, can we afford it, what happens to the people, international laws and regulations, how they are vetted, what they are escaping, the UK's involvement. The presenters are the beneficiaries of a system and cater to those in a similar situation.

How many refugees are permitted to come to the UK and the time periods. 2. How many have come. 3. How many are male, female and ages. 4. How are ages ascertained? 5. What occurs to these people when they arrive. 6. What is the selection process? 7. What is the procedure. In the meantime, you said 98% who have arrived are men. You said it so back it up. Sounds like you are basing it on a brief news stories. So ultimately, you or I don't know. So you should look into it and then chat because otherwise: 1. You are getting played 2. You look and are lazy 3. You are undermining a programme unjustly 4. This undermining creates hostility to refugees 5. This undermining may also cause the loss of lives and increase in suffering because of the programmed being jeopardised. Since so many feel so emotive about this issue, why not look into the whole situation. The problem in the native Country, how it was caused, if our government had any responsibility, the programme and any flaws and also how we compare to other countries. You should also look into the economics of this. I appreciate this is a lot but basing strong views on an impression gained on quickly shot footage by media organisations is unsatisfactory.
