Specifically the Corsa handbrake? Boring! Ever tried doing a handbrake turn in a Corsa? Nothing happens, because it’s got drum brakes on the rear axle. You might get some action if you’re on gravel or grass, but not on tarmac.

Happened to me before. I hit a patch of ice and went off the road into a ditch. The airbag deployed even though I never needed it. Thus the car was totaled for no reason.

Love it. Making sure normal cars are safe for hooning. But most of us seriously beef up the chassis and use a racing cage, buckets, and a 5 point harness as well as a helmet. Well, at least those of responsible enough to fully anticipate wrecking.

I hope not, my 9-3 has side airbags, too. I don't fancy a panoramic misfire. Then again, I've driven that thing hard and it's drives like it wants to be driven harder, easily one of the ultimate safest cars to drive. Long live SAAB.
