We also took a more Charlotte Mason approach last year. It has worked great for my children. We started with Heart of Dakota, very similar to MFW. Thank you so much for sharing.

Gary Paulsen has some great books for boys. He wrote a lot of adventure and wilderness books for children and young adults.
