Great idea to put the dummy on all block for not going in full animation. I use practice the same way of decomposing the move but not that much. I will try it tomorrow and tell you about. If there are any Cammy players, I can tell that she has to backdash (ok almost everybody knows about that). So no need of a forward input after the DP motion and the last back input of the backdash can be used as 1st input of the Ultra by doing half a circle rather than a quarter circle.

I think that one major step after becoming proficient at purely landing the combo would be to put the dummy on random block. That way you would be able to practice realistic reactions to if your opponent was aware of what you were up to. If the dummy blocks you FADC back, if it doesn't then you continue on reaction.

@VideoGameNord10 жыл бұрын
I find that the best way to do dp without using super with full meter is to use the shoryuken shortcut instead. In case you didnt know the input for shoryuken shortcut is df,d,df. If you get super while trying to do the shortcut it just means you did it too fast and got a forward input in there somewhere. Hope this helps.

Could you make a tutorial on parrying? Know you are more invested in sf4 but even that basics are important for some people and you are really good as a teacher. Timing is everything in sf
@meatw4d010 жыл бұрын
Why is that a useful skill in this day and age? There are no 3rd strike majors anymore...
@marlborosilver10 жыл бұрын
Just because Ryan Gutierrez rocked as a sf3 fighter,(For me the phrase .."I´m gonna Fuck em up".(Even if it was for a sf4 tournament).. is the best line any action hero has ever said...) and some games go beyond their mass appeal. Some fighters are for a few selected who enjoy the meaning of 1 vs 1. The Parry mechanic is not only for showoffs but for people who enjoy the thinking that can be spent in a match. The strategy, the anticipation to a move. Sf4 is great, but still....Third strike has something I cant let go. Being good a that game is something important for more people tan what you think of. Usefull?...I Think more in the value of it ...for what it is...something great.

I can't connect 2 PS3 Fightsticks for USF4 on PS4. It doesnt work for me. 1P works fine. but when I connect the stick for the 2P... - the 1st controller moves the 1P - the 2nd controller moves the 2P - the 1st stick doesn't work - the 2nd stick moves the 1P. In Mkx it works just fine because both controllers connect to each of the ps3 fightsticks. In usf4 however, when I sync in the 2 fightsticks with the 2 controllers player 2 will always sync to player 1. I tried many things to fix this but its still not working. very helpful gootecks. Also, if in case you read this, could you make a video or give tips on how to get past the scrubby ness of ranked? I do almost exponentially better against the 2500+PP players than I do against the sub 2500 PP players. Players mashing jab, then going into Focus Attacks DansGame
@WeretigerX10 жыл бұрын
I'm the same way. I feel like it's a matter of predicability, where scrubs that go nuts can be unpredictable and take advantage of lag. But if someone is good and you have a decent eye for the game, you can understand where they're coming from, even if you can't always stop it.
@chaidez109510 жыл бұрын
I am not that much of a SF player, but I do play KI and when I was starting off all I faced were mashers and nooby stuff. So I went to training mode and use the record feature to pretty much replicate what they were doing and spent the time to figure out how to beat it. Once I got the grasp I started playing online again and it took a bit to put into an actual game but after a while those type of players became super easy to beat and it improved my game immensely. All it takes is practice.
@crosscountertv10 жыл бұрын
Tarantula417 I think generally it comes down to defense and staying at a range far enough where you can react to these things even under a bit of lag. Even I lose to guys like these unless I'm playing Rose and I think it just comes down to not respecting their space enough and having proper punishes ready for them when they do something reckless.
@misterkeebler10 жыл бұрын
"scrubby" players can expose whether or not a good player can truly adapt. And it's not just online. I've seen plenty of good players lose to nonsense in offline casuals too. In ranked online, you basically have one round to learn the opponent before you have to make something happen. Make alot of mental notes the first round. What do they do if you uncomfortably close right within a jump away? How do they react when you fake meaty on their wakeup? How do they build and spend their meter? Do they abuse focus? Do they fight for space or concede and take the corner? How do they play in the corner? Things like that. If you can analyze quickly and have responses to their answers, those sub 2500pp players will have issues with you. You have 99 seconds to learn. Use them wisely

Maybe Mike is willing to release a vid on how to do hands. Doing hands from a punch button is actuall pretty easy, or in Chun her case, from a kick button. Just plink initial hands input and drum the correct order of buttons and ending the strength of the different punch buttons you want. The problems start when trying to do hands from a kick attack like Decapre cr.mk and Gen st.mk or legs with chun from cr.hp. I slide, it is the easiest way and no change of getting accidental EX hands or EX legs.
@GodOfFunk2510 жыл бұрын
From excellent adventures Mike: To do hands take your index finger and slide it from left to right Gootecks: Are you fucking kidding me Mike!? Its a pretty decent technique. Not at all. Regular controllers can be difficult, but some pro players use fightpads. I learned on a pad and just went to stick. I think my execution has improved using a stick, but there's nothing wrong using pad or a controller.

@sgplayer189 жыл бұрын
+taraishot100 no problem man. I have honestly not done much with the trials. Theres some really good tutorials here on youtube. But a buddy of mine, who's a lot better than me, keeps telling me to start trials if I want to play with new characters.

taraishot100 There are many pro players who use controllers. Louffy won evo2014 with a ps1 controller.
@rubenviegas33419 жыл бұрын
taraishot100 I would pick a character and practice the bnb's of that character over and over again until it gets consistent, basically , learn a single character, you will be amazed by how much you can do with a single character. Keep in mind , people say that "there's pro's playing with pad", but those same pros play characters that aren't that execution heavy. Its possible? yes , but way more difficult than with a stick or keyboard.
