I just picked it up a few weeks ago . I love it . I trained with rifles since I was a young g boy, so for me personally this AR style gun is the best of both worlds, it feels more natural for me then an AR with the pistol grip , even though I have both platforms I am better with the SCR and I have a thousand less hours of training with it . For me there is nothing I can’t do with the SCR that I can do with my AR15 . I Really love this gun , and if you live in a state where you can’t have an AR pick this up immediately before they change the laws yet again . Even though I own a Ruger mini 14 and a mini 30 I would for sure pick this over the rugers . The SCR will take any AR magazine and the Ruger will not , the rugers mag release sucks and the bolt action sucks and the bolt release is bad as well . The Ruger is still a great gun but not even close to being as good as the SCR . The build quality out of the box of the SCR is great and you can put any AR accessories on it , it also comes with an MLOK free floating hand guard and QD quick locks for a sling . The first thing I did was put an oversized AR charging handle on the SCR and a custom mag release button . YOUR CAMO job is flawless by the way . Awesome .

My lower has a slightly different shape to the slope behind the magazine well, and to the trigger guard. I asked the company for more info on my serial number and they told me that mine was part of a batch of an estimated 600 or so guns that used billet lowers as opposed to the forged which is the standard. My carrier is also phosphate and chrome lined instead of the old nitride or the current parkerized. I guess the billet lowers we’re only a test run.

I'm doing a build on one of these lowers with a 7.62x39 upper. Kind of a modern americanized sks of sorts. I decided to go with a side charging upper so I had to drill a hole and get it tapped.

Of all the ban state work arounds this is the only one that I would consider and I live in a free state. By the way, I give all your videos a thumbs up before I watch them.

The modern day mini 14. The action is like a semi auto shotty.

Price is high. But it is interesting. I mean, Im a Mini 14 guy for everything the SCR would do. But, the SCR lower kit does open up some interesting possibilities since you can use any AR upper. .300 blkout, 450 Bushmaster, etc. The flexibility of being able to change calibers to adapt to different game and situations is cool. And as you said, most of the AR banned states would allow this. So you can hunt in those states and not have to buy new weapons just to comply. I do wish they had a "poor white boy on social security" edition though. I could build 3 AR's with parts from PSA and Bear Creek for what they want for a complete gun. Glad I live in Tennessee. For my 66th birtday, Im gonna go tour the Barrett factory....Tight groups ya'll!

That's actually pretty cool. I think we should do a ballistic test and show why the pistol grip and adjustable stock and all the evil features make it more deadly.

I live in Clownifornia too. Can’t believe it’s illegal to have a camouflaged gun container. I watched your video on the Mini 14 580s. Good stuff.

I love the look of that. I am not a "pistol grip" guy. I just like the classic lines of the "traditional" rifle. I know, I know, it has the non traditional magazine, but I like it.

I have an "Aires Defense" version of the SCR before they became flightlight, Great Rifle!

If for no other reason, it looks interesting just for the potential for a slightly lower cheek weld vs standard. Very cool piece of kit.

I see it as being the exact same thing as a mini 14. But the neat part is that it actually works

Yes, sir. All the people that contacted me were told that they were out of luck, the company was out of business. I did a little research and found they are back up and running full force.

Great video. I would argue that the SCR could definitely replace your AR and could even serve as a legitimate battle rifle.
