I've only just found this channel. I've been in a bad way with my back and really wanted to give yoga another try but my previous experiences were so negative and felt like I was an outsider to the cult. Lesley has a beautiful way of connecting with you and accepting all you can and can't do. I am gutted to learn that this beautiful lady is no longer with us. I send all my best wishes to her family and loved ones. I am grateful to still have the opportunity to know even just a part of this beautiful person.

I've never done yoga regularly, and lately have been putting more care into my physical and spiritual health. I started doing these videos on my lunch break every day before eating and have found they help me clear my head and warm up my body. I'm already noticing such a difference and feel so guided by your instruction. I always feel I'm too hard on myself when doing yoga, and in these videos you always comment at the right times when I'm starting to get into my head about my form or ability.

I skeptically started doing your yoga classes to help my mental health. To my surprise, they help me more than I could have ever imagined. I'm only starting 'day 8' but have been doing these first 7 for about 3 weeks- practicing and trying to do the poses correctly. It's incredible how much it quiets the mind and to boot, it makes my body feel stretched and relaxed too. The way you teach is so accessible to all body types which was my ultimate 'yoga fear' when I first started - that my body type wasn't meant for yoga. Your classes though quiet all those negative thoughts and allow me to acknowledge and appreciate what my mind and body can do together. Thank you for posting these Lesley.

I started this workout in tears after realizing yet another thing I'm no longer capable of doing since being diagnosed with brain cancer. Afterwards, I'm clam and collected again. I've never been a yoga person and disregarded all the friends and family and even my neuro-oncologist telling me to try it. I made a New Years resolution to do yoga every day this year, and it was the best decision I could've made. The second best was starting with your program (after 2 days of a different program that just moved too fast for me). From the bottom of the hole in my head where the tumor used to be, thank you so much for your videos!

Absolutely love this challenge ! I started yoga a couple of years ago but then stopped because I moved out and this year, I wanted to get to it and you're helping a lot. I only have a request : could you give more spoken instructions about when to inhale or exhale and when to change position ? It is hard to watch the video and do the exercise at the same time. My family and I enjoy the beginners yoga every night around 8. It tends to help everybody unwind and I can say that in the last 7 videos we have ALL slept better. As a PTA I do alot of lifting and shiffting patients all day long and until I started doing your yoga I was waking up every morning with a terrible contraction iin my cervicle spine with a intense headache. My boys who are 6 and 10 try to participate and they even sleep better and my wife who is 32 has had decreased complaints of leg and back pain. So thank you and keep making good videos.

I’m soooooo glad I found your channel! I’m plus size and yoga has always been something I wanted to try, however, I’ve always been ashamed to go to a class because I have not done it and also being self conscious about my weight. Always felt I needed to be smaller to do yoga. This beginners challenge is absolutely perfect for ANYONE beginning no matter size. Didnt expect myself to get this far! i am almost never consistent with whatever i do, haha. however, i feel super light and stretched out after every workout and i just cant help but to continue! its an amazing feeling!hopefully I'll come out of this challenge feeling stronger. thanks lesley!

Leslie, I am on day seven and I have really grown fond of yoga because of you. I am a powerlifter/bodybuilder and have never like stretching. Until recently I’ve started getting aches, pains, tingles and I’ve worked on being better at stretching however that was not enough. I haven’t had a good experience in yoga classes so I went in search of beginner yoga on KZbin. I am so THANKFUL for you and your videos. I can already feel the difference in my body since starting this challenge.

Committing to a regular workout routine has always been difficult for me, but this program is so convenient and easy to follow - I have so much fun! I missed two days due to a cold, but I was able to jump back in and continue where I left off. Flexibility has always been challenging, and I can see a difference in my downward dog already! Thanks a lot for posting the awesome yoga sessions! I started them a week ago and sticking to them, been doing a lot of video gaming and realized was addicted to it. Sitting long hours caused pain in my chest bones and now I am trying to get over addiction and put myself more towards spiritual practices. The pain is little bit reduced, I hope with regular practice it will go away. Thanks a lot again!

Don't beat yourself up about weight gain, I gained 60 pounds with Indy (my oldest) and 50 with Stone...and I felt really good about myself for only gaining 50 the second time! Thank you for a great first week! I started doing this during quarantine after a long time not exercising (had a baby a year ago) and it feels so good to return to yoga.
