I use my sourdough starter to thicken all my soups and stews. I like doing this because it's already fermented. Just mix a couple of tablespoons of starter in a small bowl with some butter or fat of choice & make a rue. Put that in & stir it until it thickens. Delicious ❤❤❤

I just discovered you last week because I love listening and watching your sister, Lisa. I am so glad I found you!!! Thank you for sharing your days. It's a joy to listen to you and watch you cook and do things around your home. I love how you are real about the different dietary changes you've experienced over the years. I can definitely relate and I am glad I finally settled on what works for me and my family, as well. God bless you and please keep up this good work so I can keep watching! ❤

I LOVE making homemade soap. Last year I made my first calendula oil infusion with home grown calendula. It made a lovely bar of soap. I am almost out so I need to make more! I love how simple or creative you can be with soap making. I used to make them as an art form and sold them to people in my small town. Three kids later, I'm putting that business on hold until a later time. Always love your videos!

The Lord was speaking to me about IT becoming my idol. I was so worried about the toxins and the sugar etc. And he said to me "you are spending more time worrying about it and doing research than you are being with me and trusting me!" That was the end for me. I try to cook as healthy as I can but we also enjoy boxed brownies and burning a soy candle when we have people over! It's been so freeing. After all... HE is the keeper of our bodies and our children ❤️😊

When I was 11years old my pastor preached on "all things in moderation". That really stuck with me. I have since tried to eat the foods God has provided, minimally processed, organic and as close to home as possible. Which for me is right out the back door for many of the fruits and vegetables I eat. So many of the touted diets don't live up to the hype or they are out and out found to cause problems. The reason God calls us sheep is because we are so gullible and are willing to follow along after any and all pie-in-the-sky promise. Think about Eve. I enjoy many of the youtube channels. Yours and your sisters. Altho, sometimes I find myself a little envious at all the conveniences you have. 😊 God bless.

Love your channel Laura ! I also love when you melt butter in your cast iron skillet. Lol Funny little pleasure. I just made 100 percent Coconut oil soap with a 20 percent super fat. Hi Lisa! I've also been researching diets and nutrition, as well as natural medicine, for years now! My family is doing animal-based now, only meat, eggs, raw dairy, some fruits and fruit like veg like squash. My eldest son is autistic and he, I and my 3.5yo daughter all struggle with anxiety. This diet has taken that away! I've also been struggling with health complaints like joint pains, POTS, and digestive issues, so doing animal-based with lots of meat stock and homemade ferments has been a game changer! Over the holidays I started some sourdough up again and all the issues unfortunately came back so it's back to animal-based now... Thank you for the beautiful video! I'm also ordering soap-making ingredients soon! Can't wait to learn it!

Ok you made me so nervous with that lye! I'm over here like if I spill one tiny granule I freak out and honey you were just whippin' it around and getting wild! lolol. I mix mine outside bc I get so scared about the fumes, too. It made me smile/laugh to see you & know I'm prolly over-reacting just a WEE bit about it *ahem*. I love soaping with goat milk... it's such a relaxing ritual (ok except for the lye part for me clearly LOL) and SO worth it! There's no soap like hand-poured and cold-processed IMO.

I had to laugh at all your dietary changes, add vegetarian and vegan to that list and this has been our family for the past 24 years! We have tried everything and are back at just whole foods from scratch, no sugar except a small amount of coconut sugar when I bake. This just seems perfect and makes me the happiest in the kitchen. We do travel a couple of times a year, and on those occasions I do as Romans do when in Rome as they say. Thank you for sharing 🥰!!
