J’ai vu par exemple qu’on pouvait changer les miles et kms. Ça m’intéresse. Et je n’ai pas compris comment évaluer un voyage, et si on peut voir combien de kms au total on a roulé. I had same issue with incorrect holes drilled for front mudguard. EU limit is 25kph. Additionally, in Ireland at least, throttle buttons are illegal; the motor should only be active when user is pedaling. I love my C11!

Interested that you had the same bolt-hole issue for the Fender! Annoying right? How did you end up getting it fixed or did you just remove the fender? Good note on the throttle, did you have to remove yours? Also great to know you are loving the bike!

Can you answer BikeRidecom's question?
@DarkAngel-yu1ye2 ай бұрын
Hi in EU throttle whether twist button or level is totally illegal. ,500watt motor is also illegal in EU. Max under pedelec EU law is 250W. So be warned. In EU this bike is classified as a moped which requires driving licence and bike to be registered as motorbike. Police are now giving heavy fines. FIIDO continue with their policy of exporting to countries where bike is illegal. Consider other bikes that are EU compliant. Besides above points. Great video and review.

Do you also have a review of the Fiido C11 pro which has a different motor and torque sensor? Really interested in how these compare.
@BikeRidecomАй бұрын
We have not had a chance to test the new C11 pro yet, It looks like the main upgrade is changing the Cadence sensor to a Torque sensor. The range has also been extended, but this is because they are using a 250W motor instead of a 500W motor. This may impact performance and speed/hill climbing ability, reducing its performance compared to the 500W motor but improving its overall range.

I can't remove the $17.99 "Worry-Free Purchase" option, which covers loss or damage in delivery. That feels scammy. Why do I need protection if they send a damaged bike or if they lose it? That should be included.

How easy/difficult is driving the bike when the battery is empty or removed?
@BikeRidecom3 ай бұрын
The bike is heavy to pedal with no assistance, although this bike is lighter and easier to pedal then the large fat tire e-bikes. I would not want to tackle any hill with no power, only flat ground. Removing the battery is good, to reduce weight but the bike will still weigh approx 40-50 lb.

How much time does it from ordering a fiido bike til the moment you will actually have the bike delivered
@BikeRidecom4 ай бұрын
We received our unit about 5-7 days after the order was accepted. However, this could vary widely depending on your location and the shipping location. Fiido sells in Canada, the USA, the UK, Europe, and other locations, so there is a large shipping area to cover.

What do you think about the throttle button feature? Is it not included in the basic model? I couldn't find it in this review
@BikeRidecomАй бұрын
What do you mean the throttle button feature? Do you mean the 1 button click to unlock the throttle top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h) in "Boost" or "Rocket" mode as fiido calls it? This was a fun feature that allowed you to very quickly take the bike up to its max power and speed. The throttle was also a nice feature, and when it is unlocked the throttle would power the bike up to its top speed.
@unsolveddilemnasАй бұрын
@@BikeRidecom thanks for your reply. I meant the throttle button on the right hand which allows to ride/accelerate without pedalling
@BikeRidecomАй бұрын
@@unsolveddilemnas Oh yes, the actual throttle of course! It works well, it provides motor output based on the amount of throttle you press. It is responsive and can push the bike up to its speed limit, either 15.5 mph when locked or up to 28 mph when in rocket mode! The throttle was enjoyable to use, but it does drain the battery in about half the time as using pedal assist. The throttle is also not removable for class 3 use, or use in some areas that do not allow throttles.

Are the shifter and the throttle one unit? In my country throttles aren't legal so i would have to remove it, would that be possible?
@BikeRidecom5 ай бұрын
Yes unfortunetly the throttle and shifter are one unit, you can see the part here ca.fiido.com/products/finger-shifter-for-c11 You could unplug the throttle though, which should be enough to make it "legal" but it would still be present on the bike.

Would it be easy to add an AXA lock to this bike? I think it would fit, but do they have mounting options for it in the frame?
@BikeRidecom6 ай бұрын
The C11 does not have any mounting points for the AXA lock on the rear seat stays, so you would need to use the quick attachments that come with the AXA lock to mount it bolts is not an option. It looks like there should be enough room to get it on the rear triangle, but without trying it is tough to be sure. If anyone has used one on this bike let me know!

Hello! Thank you for this review! How is Fiido's customer care and support and, if I get some failure or malfunction both electrical or mechanical, how is their support and where can I get service?
@BikeRidecom4 ай бұрын
Fiido appears to have licensed sellers which operate primarily in Europe and the UK. They do not have their own stores. If you are in North America, they do not seem to have any service locations, so you would be dependent on the online customer service. They are email-based customer service, which has both good and bad reviews on sites like Trustpilot. I do find warranties on these types of bikes can be questionable. Depending on the part and its damage or issue, you may or may not receive warranty service and may need to pay for the part or shipping. If you want to ensure the best customer service, purchase from a reputable shop that offers service and after-sales care so you can bring the bike when it has a problem.

I was worried that if I used the phone to unlock the bike and then the phone got stolen, then I could no longer unlock the bike. But since this review mentioned that I can bind the bike frame's serial number to my "account" then it MAYBE possible to unlock the bike with a new phone as long as it has my personal account on it? Is this correct? Or will the bike still need the same lost phone to unlock it?
@BikeRidecom4 ай бұрын
This is an excellent question, the description of the lock seems like it relies on the Bluetooth device it is paired with to unlock the bike. I believe you are correct that after binding the frame serial to your account, you will be able to log in on another device and activate the bike. You can also "authorize" other devices in the app to use the bike, so you could link your partners phone, or another device you own to the bike to ensure if you lost your device you could still get into the bike. I will see if I can find more info on the frame binding and what the process is if you lose the Bluetooth device the bike is paired too You can also log in with the bikes display and control pad, so long as you have not activated the "bike guard" feature which locks out the bike controls

Is it possible to physically remove the throttle lever?

Already found the answer. It's not possible, but you can disconnect the plug. There is of course an option to use a dremel to remove just the lever part. And if you want to use it at a later time due to amended regulations, a new shifter/pedal unit can be installed.
