Warsaw.... Poland..... A city and a country that has every reason to not perform this piece.... Every reason to not perform it so perfectly well... So beautiful and tender in its reveal. Sounding only as a piece of music can sound when the conductor and performers are in agreement in its message, design and execution. And its hope. Coming from a people who long ago had every reason to lose theirs and yet are here performing this piece with more hope than anyone I've ever heard. Handel would have wept. He wouldn't have had a choice. God bless Poland - in particular - forever.

BW Acuff Agreed! Well said! The passion with which the conductor and performers executed this piece made me believe that most, if not all, embrace its message. Merry Christmas!

Listen again after 2 months....and once again your performance brings tears of Joy. Majestic! This is as close to what I heard when my father died about 20 years ago, and the Lord opened my ears for a few seconds to hear him sing with a Choir in Heaven. That was a song floating on the air, rising and falling gently with what sounded like 1st & 2nd Sopranos, 1,2 Altos, 1,2 Tenors and 1st and 2nd Basses singing without breath or beat. Fluid, floating, rising and gently decreasing incredible harmony, with one simply powerful word ~ “Hallelujah.” Each syllable given time to develop fully. Do you understand? Thank you. Blessing to you all (John 14:12-13).

This was so on point!! Soprano's! Excellent. But overall you all did a superb job. What Handel intended was to lift the person out of themselves and the mundane and help them feel the divine. You did that for me. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

@@KrzysztofTomeckihello. Try to set aside the hypocrisy of men, and might I suggest reading the gospel of John. Read it once, then read it again slowly. Call out to Jesus Christ of Nazareth and ask Him, with all the sincerity you can muster, to open your mind and heart to the truth of His Word. May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob richly bless you.

Bravo!!! “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 ESV I have listened to this performance at least once every day since hearing it for the first time during the Christmas season. The person(s) involved in engineering the sound should be commended. To this old man’s ears it is one of the best, if not the best, recordings of this particular piece I have ever heard. Excellent! I experience great joy in my spirit and a lightness in my heart when I listen to these professionals perform praises to God. The love, holiness, majesty, almighty power, compassion and tenderness of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is expressed here. Hallelujah! “..Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord..” Today while listening, I was reminded of the sixth chapter of second Samuel where the ark of God was brought into the city of David. I encourage anyone to read this chapter. It has brought me a great deal of joy. The One True King, Jesus of Nazareth, will return one day for His people. Don’t be found sleeping, be prepared for the return of the Lord of hosts. 1 Thessalonians chapter 5

I wonder if it would be possible to translate this hymn into Polish or any other language, because the lyrics are so "percussive." I'm not sure that's the right term, but it seems the lyrics are so tied to the music that you could not replace the words. I think it shows the beauty of the English language.
