Or to run errands. Some people also leave their children home alone. When a babysitter is not available responsible parents might take their children into a police station to file complaints on professional officers rather than leave them home alone or out in a hot car. Regardless of anyone’s judgement, I’m sure everyone would agree that the boy was well behaved and not running around or being loud.
