Yes, it’s a bit of a take on the movie Groundhog’s Day about the day (or evening) repeating until he found love or in this case to stay sober til his wife (Kelsi) picks him up. Every time he took a drink the evening started over til he learned to say “no”. If that makes sense. I think we all have had regrets about making dumb decisions from time to time until we learn to “sober” up and make the “right” decision. Good reactions!

I think this is a fun and upbeat song. It seems to have a lighter tone, yet the point of the lyrics is more substantial. He decides not to get drunk and be true to his wife. That’s a great message. Nice to see you pretty ladies again.

Ever time Rob takes a drink it goes back 9:38 like for Groundhog Day

They took the idea from the movie Groundhog Day. Every time Rob takes a drink he goes back to the moment they came into the bar. The legs that walk by near the beginning of the video belong to the blonde lady sitting at the other table with the guy that sent Rob the drink and flirted with him. the guy is Eric Beugler, a good friend of Rob's and the lady is Jenika Marion Foust, Tim's wife. Tim seems to end up with Rob's rejected drinks and is quite drunk when they leave the bar. The lady in the car picking up Rob is Kelsey Lundquist, his wife.

This being a Rob-heavy song, I'll once again mention "9 to 5"....

I bet they would also like Spaceship, seeing how they responded when Rob greeted his wife.
