I helped with a very small concrete job approx. about 30 to 35 years ago. I was working for a healthcare system that owned & managed 1 retirement complex/ nursing facility & 2 other facilities that were 100% nursing facilities. The retirement complex side of the facility I worked at was found to be lacking on some air conditioning in addition to adding 2 offices by converting an unused screened in porch. To add the necessary a/c equipment, an existing large a/c pad needed an expansion of about 5’ x 8’. The concrete pads original size was about 15’ x 20’. Our supervisor had talked to the complex’s administrator about all of the work that needed to be done, including anything our maintenance dept. could do & new a/c installation work to be done by an a/c contractor. The maintenance dept. was asked to get things started ASAP. We dug out the ground that needed to be, put forms on the 2 open sides, covered the space inside the forms with gravel & then made, mixed & poured the concrete. Unfortunately we mixed the concrete in a 5 gallon bucket on the grass, then had to manhandle the bucket to get it in the area to pour it. It turned out great & is probably still in place today. 0:29

I’m definitely looking at one for my Cat tracked loader as it’s perfect instead of having to bring a loaded truck back and worry about it ripping up or rutting the yard unlike the machine where it being somewhat lighter it won’t do as much damage if not less severe

I saw what I think was possibly the 1st job you did with the “DEMON”. That’s a great piece of equipment. While watching that video & the 1 where concrete was needed in some block walls inside of a warehouse bldg., I saw some things that made me think of possible good ideas for you. 1.)Your “DEMON” hose flew out of your hands while trying to cleanup. The “DEMON” hose should have a removable handle to be put on whatever hose is on the “POURING END” of your chain of hoses. 2.)Your camera/ phone looked like it almost bit the dust at least a couple of times. There are harnesses that can be bought to put your camera/phone on which leaves both hands free to handle equipment parts/cleaning, maybe if an urgent situation arises & you have to have both hands available to handle tools, hose end clamps, other equipment parts &/or cleanup, etc. 3.) You know you have to do the cleanup of the equipment/machine. Why not do the cleanup with a large pad similar to a kitchen scrubbing pad, easier to get into corners & tight spots, do the hose ends, inside of the hopper, spaces in the hopper grate, etc. 4.)The “DEMON” remote control I thought made you look like you needed 3 hands sometimes. There’s an area at some Walmart stores called the “AS SEEN ON TV” aisle or area. A couple years ago I bought a waterproof heavy weight plastic zippered pouch at 1 of their stores. I believe the “DEMON” remote would fit in 1 of those pouches. It could easily have a hole put in the top of it & then clip a lanyard onto it & put the lanyard around your neck. Then you could be “HANDS FREE” from both your camera & the remote. Just some ideas that might make life at work a little easier. You could say you heard it/ read it here 1st. No charge for the ideas, just enjoy the possibility of how much easier they can make work &/or life go. Keep your boots on or you could get “MUDDY FEET.”

@@MuddyfeetConcretePumping this thing appeals to ANY concrete guy esp those georgia buggy guys. but for me im paying anything from 15-20 grand a year on concrete pumps so do the math 3 good years and im in the green. and the fact that my skid is on nearly every job and i dont have to trailer a pump ever its cool shit. plus what's a new trailer pump these days? big rock? 150 grand?
@HughzieTube
@HughzieTube 17 күн бұрын
It seems Mud Demon are missing a trick with this machine, A self propelled version! Stick a set of tracks underneath, 70hp engine on top , remote control for the lot, and you won't need the skid anymore. That would make moving it on a trailer easier and you'd still have a micro pump that can squeeze into tighter jobsites.
@MuddyfeetConcretePumping
@MuddyfeetConcretePumping 15 күн бұрын
Yes , those are good ideas. The main reason for development want to power it with a skid steer to be able to use as an attachment. That way you can still use the skid steer for other jobs using other attachments.

I like that your Aarcomm has a display for pumps speed/volume. Super handy versus the old school method of just tapping +/- and counting time between strokes. Also: it looks like the agitator rotates quite quickly on that Mud Demon. I'm wondering if an orifice or even just a 1/4 valve could be plumbed into the circuit as such that the agitator could be slowed and possibly restore some hydraulic flow back to the pumping operations???
@MuddyfeetConcretePumping
@MuddyfeetConcretePumping 23 күн бұрын
Once you in gauge the pump it slows down to what we think is normal. You really don’t have to have it on all that much. Having the options on the Aarcomm remote is really nice. It’s crazy how versatile the operation is between the skidsteer, pump and the remote.

@@MuddyfeetConcretePumping so does the remote integrate/ with, and have control over some of the skid-steer functions as well? I think we really need to get Matt on for a livestream in the near future. Lots to talk about with regards to the Mud Demon.
@MuddyfeetConcretePumping
@MuddyfeetConcretePumping 23 күн бұрын
No it doesn’t. If all the manufacturers would build their aux plugs the same then they could integrate some functions. But that being said you would have to build the wiring harness for skid steer manufacturers specific.

Well this isn’t for everyone. But it could solve some problems that others are having such as scheduling or costs of getting a line pump to a rural area. I’m not worried about it taking jobs from me. In fact I have contacted a couple of customers of mine that could use this machine. They have trouble with both points I made above. It’s a day for me to go pump one of there jobs. Which takes me out of the loop of getting a second job in.

@@MuddyfeetConcretePumping so you would rather your customers use that machine instead of calling you to use your pump? when us pumpers get to charge extra for a rural area is that not good for us? I mean its a good machine would like to see a dry slump and some hose on it but I wouldn't be telling any of my contractors about this machine especially not the landscapers or backyard contractors cause for 50k and cheap maint you could very well loose customers but if you not worried do your thang
