Yo Triple C, I’m glad you’re making your comeback but after you retire for good you def still have a job simply because you’re sooo extremely good at commentary and your fight IQ is off the charts so therefore your knowledge on fighting and hand to hand combat is amazing. I wish you the best and all the success in your future journey.

Unfortunately tho he's so egotistical that he can't allow himself to let somebody else get over.. the only time henry makes a video on breakdowns is to simply self serve. Aka Alex periera is associated with Henry's gym. So giving Alex the rub is beneficial for Henry. Even so he still acts like Alex is "good" just not triple c good.. Henry isn't as good as he thinks he is.. just wait.. imagine if Henry has to fight chito instead of suga or aljo next? Can promise you that goat talk goes out the window...I think Henry gets his head kicked off his body vs Sean O'Malley
@josemarialaguinge

@@lawrencehackett6479 I think he's not as egotistical as you think, it's mostly a character, and if we're honest he fucks everyone else at 135, no one else has experience, they might have the fight IQ needed, I dunno the skills.

@@lawrencehackett6479 This is on the money IMO. Power is the great equalizer, along with great striking technique and favorable matchups (also aided by his trolling outside the cage) that is why Poatan is champ now. In fact, that is where Henry's 3T analysis could use another axis... KO power. But needs to start with a T. Thunder Terminal Threat Touch I like thunder, but terminal or touch also work, and it's a proper t sound for them. So for terminal, Alex gets a 10, Izzy probably gets a 9 IMO.

It's interesting that you mentioned Izzy tiring himself out during by trying to wrestle. That matches what Alex said in his analysis in his channel. He said he didn't feel the need to force his way out of it since Izzy wasn't doing damage. And that Izzy was just tiring himself out. And why he didn't go for the kneebar and decided to let go.

As a big Poatan fan I actually agree with everything you said. He's an extremely talented and hardworking fighter, he's got the talent, the wit, the grit, the grind and some of the skill to be great. The issue is that grappling is very complex and difficult to learn overnight, and he made his transition into MMA a bit late, as a general result of his late introduction to the martial arts at the age of 23. I'm not sure he'll be able to overcome highly skilled well rounded fighters like Rob or specialized high skill grapplers like Chimaev, but I still appreciate what he has been able to accomplish with the opportunities he was given.

People forget, but Jiri actually won the belt in his 3rd fight. He knocked out Volkan Oezdemir and Dominick Reyes to get a title shot. The only people who got the belt faster than Jiri is Rampage Jackson and Anderson Silva who became champions in their second UFC fights. Both of them went from debut to champion is a little over 3 months.

To name some others: Ronda rousey 0-0 before winning belt Tim Sylvia -1-0 Holly holm + Joanna 2-0 tied Jiri Brock 1-1 tied Jiri I think they were referring to MMA fights tho not ufc fights and in that case: Alex 7 MMA fights before becoming UFC champ Ronda 7 fights Brock 3 fights Silva 19 fights Rampage 19 fights Jiri 31 fights. Analysis is on the money IMO. Power is the great equalizer, along with great striking technique and favorable matchups (also aided by his trolling outside the cage) that is why Poatan is champ now. In fact, that is where Henry's 3T analysis could use another axis... KO power. Threshold is mostly genetic, you max it out with training to your genetic level. See Colby. Exceptions like Till exist. If you have one category for a genetic ability (threshold) you can have 2, one for KO power. A lot of genetics in the other 2 also. Cruz, CCC, JJ, GSP, Anderson... tactics (fight IQ) they are all top 1% of UFC athletes. But KO Power needs to start with a T. Thunder Terminal Touch I like thunder, but terminal or touch also work, and it's a proper t sound for them. So for terminal/touch/thunder, Alex gets a 10, Izzy probably gets a 9 IMO. Mark Hunt 10. Carwin 10. Anderson Silva 10. You will find with the fourth axis, there is less difference in the champions. Someone like Cruz has to be near perfect everywhere else as he doesn't have KO power. CCC is devastating because he has high values in all 4. (Same with other GOATs.)

Henry I can’t wait for your assessment of their strengths and weaknesses the same way you broke down Vera vs Sandhagen. I see a lot of holes in his game that are often exploited in the fight and is saved by his size in the fights. I agree Izzy lost out on an opportunity to take his back and probably finish the fight. Interested to see changes that CKB and Izzy bring into the next fight. Both are elite strikers.

Nah, there's more money to be made in MMA. I don't see how he would have a career bad enough for him to go back to kickboxing . Even if he goes on to lose to every wrestler he fights, the UFC will probably start to just give him strikers for him to have some FOTN bangers.
