Nervous about posting this one, I talk a lot about my mental health struggles but if Ren can open up about his struggles then so can I.

Thanks for not deleting! I'll check out The Congress - sounds interesting. Demos Vol 2 has some other amazing songs with animated vids- either for you to react to or just listen to in your own time: Heretic, Ready for you, Crucify your Culture....

If the video is making you think/feel something then express it and don’t worry. As you are probably aware, most people who watch reaction videos expect one. Preferably honest. You provide plenty of honesty and realness. Additionally, you provide a wonderfully thorough analysis of the cinematic elements. That’s what I love 😊💜😊

This is actually one of my favorite Ren songs. It has such a beautiful sound. Like someone else said it’s not the best to sing out loud in public but it’s hummable. Love Trick the Fox’s The Four Elements, Living Room Poetry & A Poem by Ren.

@@Filmfinds1443woohoo! I exercise 1.5-2 hrs a day and I HATE it. I am not one of those lucky people that gets a ‘runner’s high’ or feels better afterwards. Reactions to music I like keep me going and distracted. Ones by reactors I like work even better and I like you! So just know you are helping me, literally, get through my most disliked daily chore. Thank you.

One of the things I love most about Ren and his artistic creations, is that they initiate more conversations about mental health and the gaslighting in medical & mental health practices… There’s also the disparity between how men and women are treated. I appreciate that you’re having the conversation and the courage TO have it. So many, myself included, can relate. I was having an allergic reaction to a psych med for about 1.5 years. It took my primary care physician noticing that after every psych med increase, my allergy meds had to be increased…. He was one of the best physicians I’ve ever had….

It takes courage to be able to talk about mental condititions. So many people out there feel it's something to be ashamed of. I personally have had some issues with depression in the past, better now but at it's worst, it was debilitating. Great reaction! 💜

Lefty is my husband. We've been watching from his channel on our Roku TV. Holy crap you're so awesome! I forgot to sub from my channel til just now. I have to say I absolutely love your personality! You remind us both of one of our friends. Her name is D'Ann, and she kicks ass! About meds- when I was a teenager (I'm 53 now), I was misdiagnosed as schizophrenic. They put me on Stelazine, and it made me think my camera was a music box. My Mom told me I was basically talking jibberish. She took me off of that crap. I wasn't schizophrenic. I had anxiety and was also later diagnosedwith ADHD when I was 26. I don't take anything for it, but it's not always easy to deal with. Lefty helps me through the anxiety/panic attacks. And I've learned to kind of talk myself through all of that. I try to be rational woth myself and I breathe. In through the nose and out through the mouth- until my heartbeat slows down. But boy does it suck! I just hate taking pills and am kinda scared of them. About Ren- he's a damn prodigy! I'm so proud of him and how far he's come, especially considering all that he's been through! Holy crap! Watching his "Chapters" on his @RenMakesStuff channel made my eye-orbs leak! Sorry to write a novel in your comments! Haha! Anyway- you kick ass and I sincerely enjoy your reactions 😊

The idea of being watched on a tv really throws me for some reason 😂 Man anxiety really gets misdiagnosed a lot, I think because of all the various ways it can manifest. I’m so sorry you went through that and I’m glad you got out of that ok. I totally get not wanting to do meds. I had them for a bit in highschool and then I was off for about 10 years. I learned a lot of ways to cope without them but in the end I was just so tired of fighting and with anxiety I knew the exact meds that worked for me. Also I forgot to say this in the video but my meds ended up accidentally saving my life! I had to get a bunch of tests before trying this one drug including an EKG and they found out I had a heart defect and was able to get surgery to fix it! So thank you drugs 😂
@amandasshadow9605
@amandasshadow9605 3 күн бұрын
@Filmfinds1443 OH shit! Wow! Yeah, I'd say finding and fixing a heart defect is indeed a great thing! I'm happy you were able to get that taken care of! I can say I had Gabapentin and would be ok taking that again. I had it when going through perimenopause, and it helped a lot! I took very low doses of it...kind of like micro dosing with it. But, I don't have insurance and no primary care doctor, so I don't have access to it. I've been postmenopausal for I think 7 years now...lost count...haha! The main symptoms I still have are hot flashes and night sweats, but they're far less frequent than they were in peri. Gabapentin made me feel less doomy and gloomy and helped keep me motivated. Yeah...would do again if I could. My motivation has gone downhill since my Dad died in Feb of '23. I'm a horror artist, and just recently picked up my sketchbook again. But I used to make horror dollies and was learning to tattoo, as well as drawing all the time. My Dad was my buddy and losing him took it outta me. But, Lefty and my Mom help me through sad days. I help my Mom through sad days too. That shit is hard! When he died I also became a crazy gardener person...haha! I got sucked into the science of plants and all the creatures that support plants while helping my Mom make a memorial garden for my Dad. That helps too. I have a Ren/Chinchilla playlist I listen to while digging in the dirt. It's my Zen 🙂 We're thinking of making a "Spooky Garden" youtube channel. My garden is Halloweeny all year round...haha! I make planters out of Halloween candy buckets and paint up zombie garden gnomes. So, I guess I have been creative- just not in my usual ways. Holy crap I'm a babbler! Haha! Sorry bout that. I can get chatty. Especially with cool peopley-creatures like you. I hope you have a fantastic day, and I look forward to more of your videos 🙂

I’m so sorry about your dad! I’m getting to the place where my parents will be getting into their 70s soon and while they both look and act 10 years younger than they are, I know that’s not reality. Especially for me chronically ill mom. Every so often I try to think about what it will be like when she’s gone, and my brain just kind of short circuits, I know I’ll fall apart. Luckily live with my little sister now which I know made the whole family happier that we’re in one place. Our relationship was rough sometimes growing up but now my sister is legit one of my best friends and we get each others limitations. Also horror artist!! That’s fucking awesome!!! Man I love horror so much. Horror dollies also sound insanely cool. If that was something you enjoyed doing then I hope you get inspired to do some more again. A little more horror..:in art form in the world is never a bad thing in my eyes

I do feel a lot better. It’s been hard to feel safe for sure and a lot of the mask is just an automatic thing around people that I barely notice. I can be completely checked out and still seem friendly and engaged 😅 but now that I live with my chronically ill little sister we both just have kind of an unspoken agreement not to bulkshit each other about how we’re doing and it’s good

NOT unimportant trash! ❤ Not at all! 51 yr old autistic person with bipolar II (autism is fairly recently identified, went thru my entire life with no clue that I was neurodivergent), have been on Disability for depression fir twenty years. We *need* to talk about our crap (for those of us who are at least somewhat comfortable doing it). For ourselves, for our loved ones (so they understand us better), for strangers who didn't know they needed to hear what we have to say. And I'm also pretty certain that Ren wants his music to generate conversations, so keep doing you! I've just found your channel with this reaction - you're great, and I'm looking forward to seeing your other Ren stuff!

You talk as long as you want, plenty of us will be here for it! I'd be genuinely interested to hear your take on a band called Jinjer. I have exactly 2 cds in my car at all times, sickboi, and Wallflowers by Jinjer. Radically different but hands down my favorite artists out right now. Should you choose to check out Jinjer, I'm going to recommend a different track than the one most reactors start with, check out the official video for the song Wallflower.
