Sarah, my brief glimpse of your Nikon FM2 showed it is missing the rubber eyepiece in the viewfinder. Easy to get on Amazon and secured with a light touch of all purpose glue. Can relate to shooting film, have to think it through. Try Ilford FP4, good contrast and detail. B&W film gives shots a mood. Own & use Pentax Spotmatic, Nikon FM2, Leica M3 and a Minolta SRT202--all loads of fun.
