Pro tip, take some veggie oil and very very lightly apply it to the lens, keeps frost from forming on the outside. Won't save you from shitty cams frosting on the inside, but yeah. Also works really well for diving goggles to keep them from fogging.

rewatching this now, the weird fogging effect on the glass jar at the end would probably be the freezer compressor cycling between cooling and off, they freeze to a threshold, then turn off, then when it gets above a threshold then it turns on again

and i mean that without any irony. i had a childhood friend who loved collecting 1950s atomic bomb test footage and the montage at the finish was no less- i dont know, i cant find the words even. it was like you stole a look at a secret of the universe only ever revealed to our refrigerators. a better heist film than even oceans 11. i am going to watch this again and again.

+Druaga1 Okay, so the glass breaks because water expands when it freezes. You sealed the jar so the air in the jar had nowhere to go when the ice formed so it built up pressure and the jar couldn't handle it so it cracked. TL;DR Take the lid off before freezing :)
