This song was actually the last one written. It was just supposed to be a short introduction to the album that kept growing into the song it is. I live how excited you are to view the song. You are the first reactor to notice the spelling of Sick Boi. Not gonna fight you on your assessment of Ren's ability. The beginning part after the amazing Welsh intro spoke about clawing at the laminate floor. It happened and is in his chapters.

I just love this song. I want to thank you for your support of Ren. I have decided to make this comment on as many recent Ren reactions as I can. I was trying to think of other ways we could help out Ren. He needs some uplifting words of encouragement and hope right now. There are so many reactors out there who enjoy reacting to Ren's music. Ren has been a great inspiration to many artists and reactors. So I thought that maybe reactors to Ren could put out a video dedicated to Ren with words of encouragement, or a poem, or even music for those reactors who have that talent. Thanks for a great reaction. This is one of my favorite “Top Shelf” songs from Ren. This song hits every home every time I listen to it, which is daily. It resets my mood every single time I listen to it. 😆 I’m an old Renegade with invisible illnesses. Met Ren in the ME/CFS community. I love metal, rock, folk music … rap and hip hop; hard no. Now I’m an utter convert. I’ve bought every track he has for sale to add to my collection. Every single song has so many layers of meaning. There’s no fluff or filler in Ren’s creations. I appreciate his creativity and lyricism. I love his ability to mix whatever he damn well pleases into his music track and his beats. Ren is unique. We are fortunate to have him in this world. After hearing your thoughts about the music in Swan Song, I think you should check out a Welsh Male Voice Choir. They're famous in Europe for their singing voices. The accent seems to lend itself. There were lots of coal miners choirs too (was the predominant industry in Wales for centuries). Something like Welsh actor Luke Evans singing in Welsh with a trad choir gives you a feel for the sung language.

I love this one so much. The way he keeps pulling the rug out from under us with the switches, the same way illness means you never quite catch your breath or find your feet. Sorry about the leak man that sucks! Had our whole apartment flood in a similar manner. It sucks! Two things I wanted to mention as well. Idk if you’ve seen RENs community tab on KZbin this weekend but ren is in a bad way! He reached out asking for inspiration and hope cause he’s having trouble and is almost bed bound once again. You should know if you diddnt. Also there are a few reactors answering the call already! As a ren fan these may be things you’ll want to see. Goat worthy reactions had a very touching post to the community page, coping skills (great new reactor) did a video “hi ren - hope for a hero that brought me to tears. many others are discussing in reactions or ramping up ren reacts. It’s really touching seeing the entire renegade community rally behind ren. He has brought hope and inspiration to so many, seems he kept none for himself… we need to show him he’s not alone and bring some of that love full circle!

I'd recommend "Sick Boi, part 2" next. It tends to be overlooked, as it wasn't released as a single and has no accompanying video. It's one of the best tracks on the album, imho. Considering how exceptional the album is, that's saying something! It closes the album and is my personal favourite from the "Sick Boi" album! Those lyrics! Just incredible! Exceptional! Those flows! That delivery! That BEAT! Yep, definitely give "Sick Boi, part 2" a listen! :)

EDIT: see Jinx reply -in one of his live streams he said "Seven Sins" was actually the last track he recorded for the album and- he wanted an even number of tracks (18), nine per vinyl for the double album release. He was torn between -"Seven Sins"- "Wicked Ways" and "Castles Made of Sand" (not a cover) but the song eventually grew and grew and it became his favourite track on Sick Boi. "Castles Made of Sand" was eventually included in the "Digital Deluxe Download" version (still available on Bandcamp) that also features the instrumentals for Animal Flow, Murderer and Loco. He put that download out on short notice to push last minute album sales for the chart finals and it could make number 1 in the UK charts thereby "Ren-Rolling" Rick Astley by several thousand sales. This plan worked out. "Sick Boi" was released *Friday the 13th* of October 2023. Ren's lucky day.

Actually, I think ‘Seven Sins’ was always going on the album cos he said it began as just a ‘choir’ intro but then he couldn’t stop. It was a choice between ‘Wicked Ways’ and ‘Castles Made of Sand’ that’s why he added the latter as a free bonus track.

@@Jinxy44 🤔 now that you mention it... guess you got it right 🙂 I was looking at the (extended) track list and _convinced_ it was 7 Sins over Wicked Ways to be a late addition cos he virtually "couldn't stop" working on it... or maybe it was _finished_ last cos he worked on it for so long... and WIcked Ways vs. Castle was about which track would make it to the release. The video was released after Wicked Ways, maybe that's also why I mixed this up.

This is definitely the best track off the whole Sick Boi album as a 'pure' music track for me. It really is a masterpiece. Money Game Part 3 is the best music video production.The 'Greed' scheme is brought in directly from his earlier track 'Crucify Your Culture' which appeared on Demos (Do Not Share) Vol. II. In itself a brilliant track (as are so many on the Demos).
