Whe Ren speaks of self-deletion it's generally about killing off parts of himself that aren't helpful, that hurt, or hold him back, rather than being an expression if him wanting out. And as you said, his body attacking itself. His thiughts attacking him too. As someone with many illnesses in common with Ren, I don't think that's "dark" really, it's just that we don't have as much light as other people. I can see why that would feel very harsh and alien to people who haven't had to make their peace with the gloom in quite the same way though. This one - like Kujo Beatdown - isn't going to be 'hopeful' enough for many people, in the same way that illness and sadness make a lot of people uncomfortable. There's something cinematic coming next thursday he says, that he directed rather than starred in. Part of his operation to be noticed by Netflix.

@Jinxy44 There is the launch of the clothing line, but Ren said they will also be putting up a video that is something we haven't seen before and gives him a chance to direct instead of the focus being on him as an artist. Think it all ties together, but they have filmed something special.

I looked her up during Ren's premiere and her name is "Kit" and apparently she's gonna be on a lot of this album. I am a rabid Ren fan. I think this song has some great schemes, I love the piano, and Ren is well....REN. That said, this is not my favorite Ren song. I know it's art and can be interpreted in ways other than I do, but this particular track is a bit too dark for me. With all he is going through, all of the talk about self deletion, etc., it just makes me uncomfortable.

Fair enough. I can understand that. But knowing Ren, I feel he wants to bring feelings like this into the light so it becomes less taboo to talk about it. The more it's mentioned, the easier it may be for someone feeling the same way to say it out loud too and hopefully get help ❤

@prodigal7956 I was on his Twitch today after the Premier and someone asked him when he was going to tour and poor Ren couldn't stop the tears bc he's in such a dark place rt now. He would've wanted nothing more but to tour but when he relapsed, that dream went out the window. He also psychologically went back to the horror he lived through when he thought he was dying. He said during this relapse, his PTSD really kicked in bc he felt like he was back to square one and I can't imagine the fear, disappointment and frustration he must be feeling alongside his awful constant pain. So I can understand him talking about self deletion in a bid to end his torture. But like you, I really hope it's just a way to vent and nothing more. I'm a huge fan too and just wamt to hug him better so he can finally shake free his shackles and begin to enjoy his life without this darkness hanging over him ❤️
