the parts of the video that you didn't recognize are from a specific BU video, where the cat appears (which we believe is the same from the TXT universe and that's why nobody likes him lol) just search for "BTS universe story MAP OF THE SOUL" and there's a lot of information if you are able to create interpretations (I'm not and that is why is so fun to watch people trying) And I really believe you would enjoy watching the youtube serie "K-Pop evolution", if you are not interested in the story the last episode is 25 minutes showing a great behind the scenes of a kpop mv, like the making of the sets and the how they think abou the storyboard for the video, etc

Alex, the scene with Yoongi and J-Hope, here's what I think. The BU revolves around Jung's Map of the Soul. Two parts of the soul are Shadow and Ego. In the scene with Yoongi and J-Hope, they start back to back, not facing each other and end standing tall and facing each other. I believe the message here is in order to find your Map of the Soul, you need to recognize and accept every part of your soul, which includes your Shadow and Ego. Hence, Yoongi and J-Hope represent Shadow and Ego, parts of Jin's soul he has yet to recognize in order to find his Map of his Soul.

This theory makes sense if Film Out was actually part of the BU, but it's not. The song is the OST for a movie that is for a TV series, called "Signal". There is time travel in the series, which is why it has similarities to the BU. The series doesn't have physical time travel, but a police profiler in one year talks to a police detective in the past through a radio, which is where the title of the series comes from. Both are stuck in their own time lines and are only a voice for the other to hear. That's why they're separated in the video, because they are separated by time. I think Jin is playing the profiler in the future and JK is playing the cop in the past. In the series, there is a woman who is in both times. She is a young police woman, just starting her career, in the past and a seasoned detective who is the profiler's boss in the future. She has a crush on the cop in the past. I think Taehyung is playing her part in the video. The profiler is able to tell the cop details about various crimes and the cop tries to change the outcome. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes the consequences are worse than before he interfered. I've watched the Korean series on Netflix and there are references all over the video to things in the series. If you've seen the "Signal" series, it's hard to see the BU in this MV. xCeleste does really good work but she's human and can make mistakes and I don't think she's watched the series. If you really want to understand the MV, you should watch the series. The video really doesn't have anything to do with the BU. Besides, it's a really good series.

Sure it's not related to the BU, but there are some uncanny resemblances, right? Personally, I think jk is also time travelling. My proof is that, just like how when Jin time travels, certain things in the future change bcz of the butterfly effect, right? But think abt Yoongi's scenario. His motel changes everytime, and so does the time/day in which he sets himself on fire. If Jin hasn't played a part in Yoongi's timeline yet, something must be causing that, right? Jk also hesitates to answer when Jin asks him abt Yoongi in the Webtoon. Just a theory 🤗

@@Star-bt8bp Actually, I think JK has started time traveling in the BU, too. As far as resemblances, well, not so much if you've seen the series. Having seen the series, I don't get BU vibes at all. It's only when you have just the one thing, the BU, to compare it to that they really seem similar. The similarities kind of fade out when you're able to compare it to the "Signal" series. To me, anyway.

well the song itself isnt apart of the BU, but we cant say that the mv doesnt tie into the BU.... if we ignore things that "arent apart of the BU" but still have BU content then we shouldnt be theorizing about a lot of content.... it would mean (besides the new notes and the Save Me Webtoon), anything released post 2018 arent apart of the BU since they arent "offical" there is an uncanny resemblance from the Film Out MV and other BU mvs

Note: "Signal" is a Korean drama. It was remade into Japanese and BTS sing the main theme "Don't Leave Me" in the Japanese version. Both versions of the drama are excellent. EXCELLENT! It's a mature criminal drama so I don't see a lot of KZbinrs talking about it. They tend to review "school" or "young love" dramas. I recommend it to anyone who can handle /special victims unit (sex crimes) / time travel/ criminal mystery / with a touch of romantic feelings type of drama. Very unique. It's excellent. If you liked "Signal", "Tunnel" is very similar but with physical time travel.

The Summary video might be helpful to you because it talks about things in the MVs, other videos (like Film Out) and media, the Webtoon and the Notes. Yes the cat is the same cat from TXT the Hybe Universe stories are connected. Bang PD talked about how he wanted to build stories in his groups similar to Marvel Universe where they can all stand alone as stories but are also part of the same universe in some way. You may also find videos by Laina Sunflower interesting in helping you. She does theory videos about each group but also about Hybe universe as a whole such as how each group deals with and manipulates time differently, and how the different worlds may be connected, etc. If you are more interested in the TXT or Enhypen stories she also does videos on those and has in the past collaborated with xceleste.

assuming that Film Out is not linked to the BU and associating the mv with the song lyrics about losing someone, I think the video is about Seokjin losing the members (which actually does relate to the BU but let’s not overcomplicate here) and his happiness in BTS, which would be the same perspective for any of them. This links to the song which is about losing someone you love and desperately trying to hold onto memories and pieces of that person; I think in the mv BTS use this sentiment to portray the fear they have of losing the things that they love - aka their band members. I think the separation of the rooms could symbolise looking into memories, the hourglass is, like XCeleste said, to do with reliving past memories vs the reality of the present, and I also think the doors could represent Seokjin being trapped inside his own head/stepping inside memories. Despite not knowing entirely what’s going on, this mv always makes me really emotional because you can definitely discern the themes of love and loss

So.. there is this video called "BTS STORYLINE" for the came BTS universe..this video shows a lot of details.. that's were the animation clips come from.. you can react to that.. And yes the cat is the same cat from TXT universe.. Another interesting fact: Jimin has seizures because of witnessing a mvrder of a child whose last name is Choi (same child Jin tried to protect)... Actually in TXT there are 3 members whose last name is Choi!

I don’t know how people know if a new mv is or isn’t part of the BU. However they were informed, this mv clearly is BU adjacent, exists in the same Bangtan Cinematic Universe, or perhaps is the beginning of a Hybe Parallel Universe, sold separately, not included in the BU. It’s not unrelated.
