It's crazy that the first video I see from you guys after my brother Dillan passed away from Stage 4 Cancer, has a Make a Wish ad! My brother wasn't supposed to make it past 9 after being diagnosed with a rare bone disease call Fanconi Anemia. Because of this my mom reached out to Make-a-Wish and we actually got accepted for it in 2001! I was from a very small town in North Dakota so when a long limo parked in our driveway to pick us up everyone wanted to know what was going on. We flew out to California and my brother had to make his wish. My brother Dillan and I grew up obsessed with Jim Carrey! We seen a every Jim Carrey movie (expect for Me,Myself, and Irene) up to this point. Quoting The Mask or The Grinch over and over again. Our love for movies was born because of him. So naturally my brother wish was to meet Jim Carrey and we did and all at the universal backlot where back to the future set was! Dill and I reenacted every scene from the Mask to Dumb and Dumber to him. I remember it so vividly. After that experience and as we grew older we finally got our own digital camera and started filming stupid funny skits with our closest friends. You can't make cool videos without VFX right? So that's where you guys pop into our lives! We tried to learn every VFX from you guys. From the fable fire effects to the superman jump! I spent hours learning After Effects while my brother learned Premiere Pro. We still continued making films even up to the month prior to he's diagnosis. Heck we even filmed in his hospital room trying out Wonder Dynamics new tool! Suddenly it all turn into reality again as because of his rare bone disease he could not receive proper chemo to stop the tumors. We flew back home in August , watched the last few football games we could together, then God took him on September 11th, 2023. Its devastating to look at film projects because he's in every single one of them since the beginning. It's been hard and I knew this is a massive dump onto this episode but you guys made such an impact on our lives and related so close to you as you had a brother who does whatever you want in the video for you as did I and you had a younger sibling (emily) as did I with my younger brother who'd we throw in randomly in our videos just because we could! 🤣Just remember to cherish them, as you never really know how fast the world moves until there's a deadline.

I guess it's for flexibility. You can jump back to E3D from after effects but in blender you have to render everything then import to AE. I personally just use blender for cgi shots. Sure it's time consuming but i have the controls i need in blender

Awesome tutorial! I've tried something similar to this before and ran into an issue that you didn't seem to run into. I ran into it again following along with this tutorial, on two different computers. The "Random Loop" option when selecting a random start point for the obj sequence doesn't really loop, each instance just pops off when the sequence ends. Am I missing something?
@VFXProductionsRT Жыл бұрын
What do you mean by pops off? Do they vanish or you mean the animation loop isn't seamless so there's a noticeable jump in the animation?
@danieloakes8936 Жыл бұрын
@@VFXProductionsRT They would vanish, I just figured it out though. It turns out I did skip a step early on. In Mixamo I didn't check off "Keep in Place" so the model is actually moving in z-space. When the loop happens it jumps back to the first obj frame, which is in a completely different spot than where it ended.

Boo. Just stay in Blender until the compositing stage. You can even render in Multilayer EXR from Blender with a Z depth layer so you can add fog or other depth-dependent effects without needing the 3D scene to be done in Ae. Even using the Z layer as a matte works.

Hey film riot, thank you for all the effort you put into your videos, they inspire a lot of people! I wanted to stop by, hopefully bring some encouragement to you all. 3 years ago God saved me and gave me eternal life, as well as new purpose. Hopefully one day, many more people will come to salvation through Jesus Christ. Because those who do not, will eventually have to face an angry God and spend eternity in hell as punishment for their sins. I don't want that for anybody! We all, including myself, deserve hell as punishment for our sins, aka violating God's Holy standards. For every lie told, everytime we took something that wasn't ours, everytime we looked lustfully at a woman, or used His name as a curse word, these are just some things that rightly anger God. He is a just judge who will carry out the final verdict and cleanse the world of sin and evil. BUT, He is also a God of incredible mercy, because He sent His only Son Jesus Christ, to live a perfect life and die a perfect death. He took our punishment that we deserve on Himself. And now He offers everlasting life to anyone who repents of their sins and puts their faith in Him alone. We can't earn or loose it, and I hope to see you all in Heaven one day!
