It almost reminded me of the bits in Marx brothers movies with Chico. I think Groucho realized what a comedic goldmine he had with this particular guest.

When I was about 10-12 years old I saw Pedro G G in a live outdoor show at the Annual San Gabriel Mission Fair. I still remember 2 of his deadpan face jokes. That was over 60 years ago. They asked him if the role he played alongside John Wayne in Rio Bravo was challenging? He said, 'not too much', he said he had to play "a Mexcan".😅 He was also asked if the real guns they used in some scenes scared him. He said, "it wasn't the guns that scared me, it was the bullets".😂 He passed away in 2006. He was great.

This Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez who came on at about 13:15 ended up in a number of western movies after John Wayne watched this show and thought he would be a good actor. Wayne ended up contacting him and got him into the movies.

Pretty sure Gonzalez Gonzalez played the hotel owner in the 1959 movie Rio Bravo with John Wayne. Had the same name in the movie credits.

Pedro certainly provided some funny moments, but I felt overall that he was trying a bit too hard to be funny and to live up to the persona he'd adopted. So, as regards my favourite guests it's still Melba Taylor and Albert Hall, in that order.
