17:00 "Sam" (the receptionist who buzzes in) was MTM's 1st role-playing character you never saw but only heard from "Richard Diamond Private Detective". So hilarious that she played the role in her star-making series, as well.

There was one "goof" in this episode: "Miss Finland" protested to Rob that Johanson was a Swedish name--but there are a lot of Finns with Swedish surnames--either "Swedo-Finns" or Finnish women who are married to a Swedo-Finns, etc. And Swedish is still an official language in Finland.

If she hadn't been drinking so much her physical appearance wouldn't have been so bad. i recognized that Tanya Tucker was a lovely young woman and when she started to drink, she's become so much older that it is hard to believe someone that young could age so badly. This is true as we see those that have alcohol problems their years it robs their looks is incredible. To compare Mary to Valerie Harper - she died of cancer, but she still had her looks despite dying about the same age that Mary did. That is was so sad. Plus, I forgot Mary had parents that were alcoholics and that is a disease which back in the 50s or 60s was not determined. It is now something which should avoid more if one has parents with that alcohol disease.

@homegown1234 it wasn't so much her drinking it was her diabetes that made her age so fast. And her body deteriorate.

Lee Philipps, who played Drew, was a multi-talented man in real life: a gifted director (he did at least one episode of "M*A*S*H"), he was also the overly inquisitive journalist who got turned into a pile of dust by Ann Blyth in the "Twilight Zone" episode "Queen of the Nile".

Everybody gets that her feelings are human and normal. Laura goes straight to I'm Your Boss mode, trying to control Rob directly or manipulate him. She emasculates him in front of his old friend and potential employer. Of COURSE he can't go out to have a fun dinner/work meeting! He has to help her hang drapes that same night. Silly Rob. I bet M.T.M. hated Laura too.
