I'm having a very hard day. Seeing Rob Petrie in Buddy's pants made me laugh and forget my problems. I'll never forget it.

In the opening scene in bed Van Dyke improvised 'lining up the suitcase' with the bed and then his practicing putting on his hat from behind. They are not in the script. Carl Reiner loved this about Dick. For example when Rob is alone in a mountain cabin to write he has the longest solitary scene in the series and plays with the Western gunbelt, setting up the typewriter etc. etc. and is wonderful. Reiner said if you just leave Van Dyke alone with a roomful of props and he can make a hundred funny moments.

I love this show! It was on reruns when I was little, and I used to hide under my Grandmothers dining table when she had her friends over for coffee in the mornings. I hid to hear what gossip they were talking about until her friend Edith lowered a portable tv to the floor, and said Lisa watch cannel 3. .so they left me to discover this, the young rascals, I Love Lucy and my all time favourite, The Honeymooners! So I could stay there and learn the best education of TV! I also got to catchup on the gossip above the the table! Best education of anthropology and LOVED it all! PS: I hid at every party my parents threw! Great times! A long time ago. This is was magical to me at 7yrs of age! I’m so happy that I learned so much by hiding!,😇

WTF D v Dyke gives outrageous loughs AND suspense more than half a century later. Low-tone genius. Best he stay there in the flesh at least for one more century, hone our endangered comedy instincts. Unique creator, even keeping all balances, he may be the best comedian ever. Notwithstanding that his talent goes far beyond comedy. Cannot think of anyone that can couple this.

Originally telecast on January 3, 1962, when the series moved to Wednesday nights at 9:30pm(et)- hence, Dick's announcement at 0:10. And, except for one season {the fourth}, it stayed there for the rest of its original CBS run.

This is an all time classic. One of the best skits put together. Rehearsal must have been crazy. Realizing the era and format of the show - having 2 twin beds proves you can conceive a child anywhere! 🤭

Back then, it was extremely common for families to have 4+ children; it seemed that only two was not that frequent. During the 1960s, I only knew two families that only had two kids, while everyone else had more.

When my mom was explaining the birds and the bees to me, I didn't want to hear it. She was very open and comfortable teaching me.. I felt uncomfortable and sick to my stomach. She was explaining male and female anatomy and described the male erection, etc..i came unglued. I was 10 and had started my periods early.. When my daughters were 6 and 9, she brought over a cartoon book about the birds and bees and gave it to my daughters against my protests. The book was a Complete cartoon illustration of a naked male (with an erection) and naked female. The illustrations showed them being intimate.. It was very descriptive..after my mom left, I took the book away from my kids and hid it on top of a closet shelf.. My 9 yr old told my mom I hid that book from them and my mom was furious with me..I felt that my daughters were both way too young for that book, and the birds and the bees.. I didn't want my kids to have issues the way I had when i was being informed at such a young age..

Jesus is the King of kings and Lord of lords, and everyone will bow on their knees and say it on the last day, no matter what. Jesus loves you so so much and wants to save you from this world and eternal suffering in hell. He will bring peace and joy that is unexplainable and beautiful. Pray to Him and surrender to Him, ask Him to change you and give you faith and trust and He will, God never turns away a true prayer. Romans 10.9 Romans 8.38-39 I love you, Jesus our God loves you more. ❤ ❤ ❤

Romans 10.9-10 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

According to my mother (since I do not remember this personally), when I was born she had "pre-eclampsia", had not followed the doctor's orders to observe strict bed rest, and went into premature labor. While she kept telling papa they had to go, they had to get to the hospital NOW, she wasn't kidding, let's GO --- there's papa showering and shaving and spiffing himself up all nice and tidy for his stint in the waiting room.
