Kathy is Rusty's stepmom on the show, I don't remember him ever calling Danny by his first name. Of course Danny was Linda's stepdad but she always called him daddy. I guess they did it that way because Rusty was on the first 3 seasons with the original mom but Kathy and Linda didn't show up until the end of season 4.

@@brandonkirk8674 Marjorie Lord saved the show along with Rusty Hamer's development as a child actor. The Jean Hagen earlier episodes are rather unwatchable now.
