Kosoul Chanthakoummane was executed yesterday after serving over 16 years on death row. He never have an apology or expressed any regret. Even his lawyer admitted he was guilty due to the mountains of evidence. The "issues" raised on appeal were consistently proven to be false. This monster got exactly what he deserved and I pray God will ensure he will pay the price that he deserves. RIP Sarah Walker, you were killed while you were just doing your job. This is why for real estate agents going to do jobs like this precautions need to be taken to prevent real estate agents particularly females from being put at risk like this. I take comfort you are enjoying the afterlife Sarah and my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dear Pam: There is NOTHING that you can do about rampant crime in America, but there is A LOT that you can do about not becoming a victim of crime YOURSELF. 1) ALWAYS be aware of your surroundings. 2) NEVER meet a stranger alone unless it is in a well lit and busy public place. 3) NEVER allow a stranger into your life either for romance or business until you do a background check on them first. You can get an online background check on ANYONE (including their criminal record) for as little as $30. All of this definitely demonstrates paranoid thinking, but in that "asphalt jungle" we call America being paranoid is definitely a survival skill. I can tell you that in 25 years as a True Crime fan that a majority of the crime victims that I've seen could have been spared needless suffering if they had followed such simple and common sense guidelines. If you don't want to do it for yourself, then do it for your family and your friends. You might spare them the grief of having you become a needless victim of Crime. Although there was one time I came to the realization I was on my own & vulnerable. So this one time I sent the buyer to the upstairs bedrooms on the pretense of having to remain downstairs to greet other visitors. I do not know why I was not comfortable going upstairs with this client. Let me be clear nothing was said or done to arouse my suspicion of this person but as a precaution I decided to think quick for me a woman being alone with a stranger. I do feel guilty because he may have been a good decent person. You just never know. My advice to realtors do not sit in houses alone.

When the witness said that if they went to say hello to Sarah that they might have been killed too and were happy they didn't, obv i get that, however i would also feel some sort of guilt because you also could have saved her.
@fang38393 жыл бұрын
On the other hand, they might have saved her. He didn’t have a gun. It was three against one and and he was scared off by the husband before. I think the program mentioned it just for the witness’ sake. What’s done was done, why burden them with guilt?

@Shawnmyrelle3 жыл бұрын
They shoudnt feel any guilt at all. There was no way they could have known this murder was taking place. There is no way to know if they would have survived. At no point in time was it their responsibility to check on the affairs of another adult. For all they know, this could've been a hook-up of Sarah's. This could have gone so many ways. Dont even put that into the air. They did nothing wrong.

Female realtors should not go alone unless possibly they meet the possible buyers at their office and then decide if they're comfortable to take them to the house. When I bought my house the female realtor had someone with her. Sarah's killer was executed today Aug 17, 2022. A near identical happening, the Beverly Carter case happened in a town near Little Rock, AR in 2014. He was sentenced to life without parole and his accomplice got 30 years.
@MrArcher72 жыл бұрын
This can happen anywhere because realtors are usually by themselves and create the perfect target. In my RE our office would always encourage buddying up to do an open house, especially the female agents.

(1) It'd make so much sense for all this model homes to have cameras inside and out with the recordings saved in the cloud. (2) Also a cheap alarm system could be installed that'd be triggered by a scream above a critical value of decibels. (1) and (2) would be strong deterrents against most freaks and would save many lives. (3) A thug sentenced to death is music to my ears ..

Sad to say, but women alone should not go anywhere in this country without either a big dog or a gun. I know one who did save her life after being abducted on a DFW Airport freeway after her car broke down at night (before cell phones). When he took her down a deserted dirt road, instead of to a gas station to make a call, and tried to rape her, she shot him with a snub-nose revolver hidden in her purse and escaped. Without the .38, she almost certainly would have become another story for Forensic Files.
