13:22 60% of 118dB is 115.8dB. Someone is an idiot. You DOUBLE every 3dB. To quote what I found on a quick Google search: "70 dB is in the middle of this decibel range. It is equivalent to the sound level of a regular washing machine. It is also equivalent to the noise level in an office environment or inside a car driving at 60 mph." That is a noise through which someone could sleep. This case has reasonable doubt. Who can't say that the killer, wearing the night gown, could have been a male that put it on when he killed the husband? Or how about having a pillow as a silencer and took it with them? This is a very weak case at best. Poor detective work. The cops got eager too quickly and charged her. If I was her lawyer, she would have been found innocent. If you want to argue I have two words for you: REASONABLE DOUBT.

So they found gunshot residue on her nightdress and on the bedding and claimed it as proof that she was wearing the nightgown when she shot him because of the location of the residue in the nightdress. Katie claimed that she had left her nightdress on the bed when she left the room. If it was still there when he was shot that could explain the residue. What apparently was not tested for was the distribution of the residue on the bedding. If she was able to indicate where on the bed her night dress was and no gunshot residue was found on the bedding there it means that the nightdress covered the bedding and she was telling the truth. Thats the trouble with forensic evidence. Once it "proves" your theory you tend not to push it further to see if it actually disproves it.

This one has always bugged me. “Gunshot should have woke her up” Everyone sleeps differently and that varies nightly too.. I’ve been woken up by just a change in air pressure once.. but.. also slept thru a major storm & literal flash flood while in a lean to.. nevermind living next to a major road, you just get used to noise.. especially if you live with a snorer 🙄.. and boy do I 🤪 lol If he didn’t test the sound in the ACTUAL house, acoustics and insulation are completely different too.. Nah.. this one as a “proof” doesn’t sit with me..

gunshot residue ?

@@chateaupig826 I’m not saying that she’s off the hook, just as an isolated “proof” point in an argument.. this one thing in the list of things against her, it’s questionable. And I don’t think it’s as scientific as would be accepted in court today.. too many variables and conjecture.

@@chateaupig826 you’re entirely missing my point. I’m talking about the specific “experiment” that was conducted. I’m not commenting on this case overall. My observation has no reference to her story or guilt. I’m only referring to the issues with that so called “proof”.. it doesn’t matter what case it is..

I think she was involved but this was a shitty investigation anyway. No GSR on her hands, she called her BF 3ce yet he was somehow excluded from the crime, there was no mention of a probable motive like life insurance policies, divorce proceedings etc, just that she was head over heels for another guy, I guess some would kill for that reason but not solid enough for me if I was a juror in that trial. They also never found the weapon that was used. I mean there are so many holes in this one that I'm shocked they got a conviction.

At the 21 mark is the guy missing a piece of the upper middle lip or the two top front teeth??
@rockstarofredondo2 ай бұрын
Looks like he has some sort of condition that causes his skin/membranes to be droopy. Look at his eyelids too. That lip thing is his oral mucosa dangling on either side.

Katie Doyle (real name Kathleen Foley) died in prison in 2016. She wasn't very smart in choosing boyfriends since he was having multiple affairs.

Much smarter to get a divorce. Why do people think they can get away with murder?

The gunshot sound testing wasn't scientific at all. Why did the guy test it at his own house? Use the actual crime scene. A closet full of clothes could muffle a lot. Even if he had a closet in the same spot it wouldn't matter because what's in the closet could make all the difference. The a/c at the crime scene could be really loud etc. Too many variables. Even if they tested it at the actual crime scene there would likely be factors they didn't account for. What about how heavy of a sleeper she is, especially after drinking. Just because you would wake up, someone else might not. I have a patio door that makes a loud noise that reminds me of a gunshot (maybe wind or air pressure?). It wakes me up in a cold sweat but my husband doesn't even stir.

My thoughts exactly. They could easily have got a warrant to test in the house. Moreover they didn't test the carpet for gunshot residue

It always seems the ones who plan out their crimes for months or years, end up being the ones who get caught. Vs the ones who act in the moment.

What? She was not abused by a monster of a husband? It must have been a public defender.
