I'll be honest, I think we kind of need to accept that Gravity Falls (at least the main storyline) is over. And frankly, that's a good thing. Alex Hirsch had exactly the time he needed to tell the story he needed to tell. If it comes back, I hope it's in spinoff form and intended to expand the universe, not stretch on a story that already had the perfect conclusion.

one one hand, I totally agree with you. gravity falls was a great show and ended without bleeding itself to death the way so many shows do. on the other hand, letting popular ip's die isn't really how film and TV work. doing a quick Google search I'm seeing disagreements online of what exactly the first film remake of all time was, but we've been doing it for over 100 years apparently. gravity falls as directed by Alex is definitely potentially over, but i'd be really surprised if there wasn't a continuation or reboot within the next 20-30 years.

To be honest, I don't want a Season 3. I want a spinoff series or miniseries. Alex is right, that story ended and continuing it makes no sense, but that doesn't mean the characters can't go on new adventures or even have new characters with their own story in the same universe. The Pines could be pretty fun side characters to a new story arc.

I've been searching for codes for a week straight after the release of the website helping the theorist over the gravity falls discord server. It was a fun and crazy ride and even if I didnt discover much and most of the puzzles were discovered by others it was one of the first times i started searching for clues on google, wikipedia and scrolling through irl history to discover stuff (only to realize that the answer was right in front of us) BUT even if I wasnt helping much it was fun and thats what matters! By the way its mind blowing how you guys on film, game, food and style theory are able to find so much stuff about a topic and make a 20 minutes video out of it 🤯. It has always amazed me and is one of the reasons i keep coming back to hear your theories even after years (incredible how we're still theorizing about this show after 7 years. I think it would an amazing prequel season/series where it shows Stanley and Ford’s lives and the circumstances they endured after Ford got sucked into the portal; Stanley struggling with his life and finances while trying to figure out a way to get his brother back somehow. Meanwhile with Ford we’d follow his journey across the countless dimensions he would find himself in as he would go on to learn about up until the events of Gravity Falls where Mabel presses the button freeing Ford from his prison.

I do remember a man who would bring his son to the bakery every Wednesday, and-and go feed the ducks. He would buy all of the sourdough bread. Of course, you know, you’re not supposed to feed the ducks sourdough bread at all. It swells up in their stomach and then they all die. At, ah, at least, at least that’s what I’ve heard. Ya know, I never saw any ducks die myself, but I did notice a substantial decrease in duck population over the course of a few years.
